Content writers??

Been over at DNJournal reading the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. article and this jumped out at me

He noted that there are people who will write original 500-word articles for you for $7 each. “You can develop properties without having to write a word,”

Anyone know where these folks hang out? Content is my biggest problem at the moment. I keep getting hit at 7-10 cents/word (even when I can provide reference sources) which I can't justify paying.

I am looking for the same thing. Where can you buy content at that price?

Go on the freelance sites, you'll get takers for that price.

Keep in mind that you usually get what you pay for :)!

Hark, $7 for 500 words would be a steal. I had someone quote me $40 for 500 words. Anyone know of any forums where we can hire article writers for less?

I can help out here if necessary. I can be the conduit with some few free lance writers in India who can provide this for 10-12$ for 500 words. If you need a trial article drop me a line @ sf_2004_gate at yahoo dot com. If there is enough demand I might just setup this business

What type of topics do you want the articles to be about? I will be willing to write 500 word articles for 300 NP$ an article depending on the subject matter. PM me what you want the article about and I will send you a sample.

I am in the Philippines, and a lot of my friends are good writers, in fact some of them are working for a US-based clients that are also domainers.

It was not my intention to make this a 'looking' for services thread but...

I have gotten some PM's and responded.

Thanks for the responses. And yes it is true that you usually get what you pay for and hopefully I will eventually have enough sites generating $$$ where I can pay more but not nearly there yet.

Maybe a moderator should move this.

Free hint - If you are a college or university student - or live near a campus - put up a 'writer wanted' poster. You'll get many responses and you can be sure you will find someone who knows a specific topic fairly well. And students will work for cheap.

1) Goto eLance.com
2) Click "Writing"
3) Click "Web Content"
4) Post your project (after you register)

Most of the designers/writers/programmers at this site are bidding from India so prices are usually low. Good luck

There are many projects posted at GetaFreelancer, Guru and RAC at much lower rates. Also some other forums like DP have writers working at low rates. Quality is something you have to check.

I know I am still a noob, but I also would question the reliability of an "automatic" article generator. But that is just me, what do you think?

Interesting product and hype from someone who claims to not be a "marketer."

Just take a look to some generated articles. It's a clever approach.

His video is interesting for 'generic' terms and may well simplify the process. The problem is that many of my needs are specific with little or no existing internet content. Oh yes at lease his is cheaper that many of the other similar products out there. If I was doing 'general' topics I might just throw him 67 bucks but...

I have done that by 'merging' content from both hard and electronic sources. I have the source material but my writing skills suck wind and when I show it to people 'in the business' they can usually nail the sources.

While on the content subject I just stopped by one of my Q&D sites www.pottery.co.in and was shocked to see it has a PR3. Interesting thing is the content is all from Wikipedia.

Carpe Diem

You get what you pay for...

$5 for a 500 word article? Hmmm... Lets say the writer spends one hour on the said aricle. $5 an hour which is already below minimum wage..you will likely get an "original" cut and paste, and a dose of plaigarism.

Most students and Professional writers (I am both) will charge per job, or per word. Expect to pay at minimum, .20 cents a word and up for anything, "original." If you want something fresh, or your topic is obscure, research
adds to the cost.
