Content management sites (joomla)

I am currently using Joomla Version 1.0.15, and I have heard that it is not suitable for new sites.. is this correct? also is it easy to transfer all files over to the recent Joomla version from my current old version im using?

there might be an easier way to get the new version. try seeing if you can simply upgrade this old version (you might be able to do it through fantastico). either way, be sure to backup first.

if you have cpanel, there's a good chance you have fantastico too, which you can access through cpanel.
