Hi there;

I am thinking about using either one of the following and was wondering if anyone had any advice on which one of the 3 is best to use:

1. Mambo
2. E107
3. Xoops

I like E107 but do not like the plugin modules they have to offer. I like Xoops but I tried updating the versions and got a blank screen. Mambo I have not used yet so just wondering which one is the best, the easiest and overall which one I should go with for content management solutions. I have not found a good site for tutorials yet on installs or upgrades.

Thanks

KC

Depends on ur site requirements. CMS choice is based on many factors. List down what is important for u

I personally like Drupal & Xoops. No comparision for Drupal. :imho:

I prefer Joomla. But I've heard some good things about Drupal especially from SEO perspective.

Joomla is the new mambo. You can find information about it here and find sites that have used it here ... it is really amazing what power you can have with Joomla. We use it at work for the groups on campus.

The choice of CMS really depends on the features you need....

You have to list what you need, then compare each of the features with different CMS ... u can do this by posting in their forums

When I wanted a forum site, i was looking at simple machines.but it did not have the features I wanted badly for my site.... so I had to buy vbulletion..

Similarly when I was making a site which was a directory... i wanted something like dmoz... php nuke, xoops etc could not give me the look and feel I wanted, so I decided to go with Drupal...

All CMS are good for some task or another....there are more than 200 CMS, all have wide variety of users.... what is important is what suits your needs.

After considering many CMS... I have come to conclusion, that Drupal is the best for me... So now I make all sites in Drupal... My point is choose one CMS and stick to it.
