In the real world they say Location, Location, Location....
On the internet I believe Content, Content, Content...will be the winner in the end.

I remember -db- used to have a sig that said....
.Com is not king....Development and Content are king....

I always remember seeing that.........And I believe we will all see that to be true...... :imho:

I am not living that philosophy yet :'( ....but I am working on it... :)

Absolutely true JayDub. I wish this could be talked about more than recent sales because content drives traffic. Original content is even better.

I think Content is Key as well. For selling developed DNs of course.. Some DNs however are good w/o content but all can benifit from it.

I try to stay original w/ my content as much as possible but that takes time:(

You know...my boyfriend thinks I shouldn't develope ANY names because that gives the seller the wrong idea for the name...they might have other ideas and it would put them off. Also it gives a history for the name and end-users might want only their own product associated with the domain name. He makes a good point I think...but I am still torn.

But...I think if selling to other domainers...content is good. :)

I have heard that argument before Kerrijo and it is convincing. I'm not sure either.

Will the PR easily transfer and w/ a new site on that DN wil the SEOs update immedietly or will it take months... Months I think. But even w/ a brand new site at an undeveloped DN you still have to wait for it to be searched and stuff, unless your paying I'm sure.

So with a developed DN the buyer could post there site and all ready know all of the SEO robots and such are coming and will be doing updates.

But then I guess they would want to look at the developed backlinks too. They may all be for something completly unrelevant to your site.

I'm sure there are ups and downs for both.

I guess we just have to go with our instincts. Oh and I forgot to mention bf has NO domaining experience...only what I've shown/taught him myself (which isn't a whole lot hahahaa)

Good point.....My wife is the same way and I find her to be an xcellent resource when it comes to site design/user friendliness.......she IS the average web surfer and there is much to be learned from how they surf the net and what they type in.....I know she is always happier when there is content/links relevant to what she is looking for when she is looking around....she clicks everything.....

She also has NO domaining experience....she knows we have a lot of names...just doesn't know which ones...lol

Development always wins hands down. I think the ideas bought forth here are idealistic at best.

My best names have sold with very very very little development. Just a black screen with a picture of my face. In the upper left hand screen is the name FOR SALE in big red letters. I dont know why, but it has always worked. Im not Denzel, but my last name is Washington.
