Confused on drop date

Snap Names says a name I want to backorder is dropping shortly
but the Whois info says its regged until 12/08
how can i find out for sure it is dropping

Also the name is regged with Melbourne IT, Im wondering would it even drop at Snap Names?

Who is the domain regged with ? I would lean more towards the whois information probably.

Its registered With Melbourne IT
I had read that Afternic will be handling their drops
so I guess im kinda confused by seeing it listed in snapnames with a drop date
does afternic work like snap where i can backorder ahead of time?
