Long story short (and I do mean long), Commit1 webhosting and Anthony - do not deal with them. I had a duplicate subscription for several months for my webserver. I contacted Anthony about it and he said no problem we will refund you. He continued to give me excuse after excuse of why I have not got refunded.
I called both the toll free number on their site and the number associated with paypal and neither worked.
I asked Anthony online the number to their billing department and he gave some excuse they are moving phones or offices and it it useless to call them anyway because they have to follow "procedures". He then told me to email some woman which I have yet to hear back from (well over a month).
They had three months of multiple payments to refund me.
I got horribly upset when this happened and went nuts in the #cpanel EFnet channel. Anthony got super pissed and defensive that I called him a scammer and started to talk that I don't respect him BS. He then PM'd me and said he would give me 1 month's refund to prove he is legit (I guess I hit some buttons).
Turns out his funding source failed via paypal a couple days later. I called paypal and contested the charged. Fortunantly I was able to get 1 month's refund from paypal but no more because it was over 60 days.
In that same PM I told him I wanted to cancle (it was a couple days into my billing cycle). He said I am not able to get a refund for the rest of the month even though it was only like 3 days into it. Even though their emails state "satisfaction guaranteed". I would have cancled that last month earlier but the ony reason I didn't cancel was because of this shadyness and I wanted to get back some of my money from the previous months of DUPLICATE PAYMENTS. After I told him I wanted to cancel, he then proceded to pull the plug on my server, and I said "Wait, if have the rest of the month payed you better turn it back on if I'm not getting a refund" and he did.
This has just been one problem of many with this company. Their downtime is aweful. In Anthony's defense he offered (due to soooo much downtime of my server) to switch me to some different network or something "premium bandwidth" that has been up forever with no downtime. I declined because I thought to myself if that existed, his Commit1.com server would be on it too as to not lose business, but whenever my server went down the Commit1.com server went down too.
I am working on a site to expose and uncover all the crap that went on with this company to me. I have kept logs of this whole ordeal. I don't care if I have to spend money to SEO the crap out of my site, I want the truth to be told and justice to be served.
Thankfully due to the fact I got 1 month back from paypal I now only need to recover 2 months of duplicate payments and 28 days of another month. (well the 28 days is debatable because I did say turn it back on - but only because he wouldn't refund me - I did not use the server nor did it recieve any traffic) Anyway, Until this is accomplished I will follow Commit1 and Anthony on to wherever they go (or whatever name they change their business too after all my wrath) until I get my money back that is owed to me from DUPLICATE PAYMENTS.
Come on man.. you just don't take someone's money and hold it and not give it back. Mad shady. And don't give me some stuff about "you need to respect me" go talk to your dad about stuff like that.
