"angisson" member in DNF & Namepros.com is not the same person who has his account, its a hacked account.. you can see from time stamp of posts and reputation, and ofcourse the english grammer.

XFZ.com is the domain that i got scammed with.

We made a deal of $3100, i sent him $1.1k via paypal and i sent him 2k via western union, after i sent him the 2k via western union, he went away and never replied as he was supposed to push me the domain from tucows right away, i never used tucows and i never know how the pushing is, he told me to make an account with easydns.com or web.com thats before sending him the 2k via western union.. i kept nudging him after i paid him, but he never replied i went over his posts on namepros i found out that the account was offline for like over 1 year, i looked at his feedback i saw no feedback since more than 1 year, i said WTH! i ran to western union and luckily he havent reached there before me since western union is near my house, therefore i canceled the transaction and got my 2k back. I told him i need my 1.1k since i dont want to continue with the deal, he said he cant and blah blah blah, and today he never showed up.. I called paypal the same day he refused to refund me and i explained the issue, she immediately opened an unauthorized activity dispute and told me u will get your money back, today i got email denying the dispute, which means i lost the 1.1k.

Thanks for the report... the account in question seems to be closed already.

I cannot stress the importance of doing the due diligence before the money changes hands. You can always back out of a deal safely before that... after that... you really run the risk of never seeing your money or the domain name again.

I'm sorry for your unfortunate circumstance... have you tried getting in touch with the seller via telephone?

I have tried calling him, he gave me a fake phone number.

I there a way i can get my $1,100 back from paypal? I can pay $400 out of $1,100 if can get them back to me.

I'm really sorry for that. That's the kind of people that ruins this great industry. You may have bad luck to encounter them in $xx,xxx transactions, as even in $x ones... Many people (here on NP as well) make even $3 or $2 bids and then refuse to pay!

Im sorry you have been caught up in this, but seriously, who on NP's pays by Western Union? Alarm bells loud and clear.

Strange thing is you got your money back from WU but not Paypal. I would ring Paypal ASAP, you can get their number from your credit card company, they all have direct lines to Paypal.

I never disputed any transaction ever, so i do not know what options are there. I have contacted paypal but since i live in Dubai, I wasted like $100 on phone talking to paypal so im not really going to call again and waste more money, i explained to the account specialist, she then opened an unauthorized activity dispute, and she limited my paypal account to ensure my security and she told me you will get your money back within 10 business days, I responded to the limitation and submitted the documents, then i got my account access restored within 12 hours. I waited for them to investigate, after 2 days i got an email saying that there isnt any unauthorized activity happened to your account therefore we have denied this claim.

I didn't know why she opened an unauthorized activity dispute, maybe she misunderstood me.
