.com vs .net value

I was wondering if some members here could give some advice on what the value of .net is in comparison to .com. I know there are a large number of factors involved in determining value. I was just after a rough estimation such as is .net on average is worth 25% of what a .com is worth?

I don't think you can use a ratio that can apply to all cases. But if you could, it would be closer to 10%. My advice is steer clear of anything non-.com. Good luck.

I agree with MicroGuy. Stick to .com domains. I've never made a profit on non .com domains. I'm amazed I still own any

Thanks for the reply's MicroGuy and Stub. I certainly need to look a lot more into this. I suppose if you do reg a .net there would have to be some very good reasons to do so such as very high global exacts.

In my opinion, an .org is the second choice closely followed by a .de, as the .org is usually trusted and the .de is widely used. All my .org perform better than the .net BTW.

If you wanna sell your domain name the best one is probably .com, but if you going to use it for SEO purposes, then it probably wouldn't matter that much if you have a .com or a .net domain name.
