.US domains.US domains
w00tage. Now I can be lazy and not have to type in a coupon every time at godaddy! Reps to you. Love the multiple domain registration option too, save tons of unecessary time individually checking each domain I want to register.

What are renewal fee prices like?

I like the alternative names option. I put realestate.com and got genuinecar.com as an alternative? :hehe:

What's the verdict on Name.com?

Never used them before. Good? Bad?

Interesting.
I'm also curious about renewal fees, there is nothing on their site about this.

You usually get what you pay for. I don't think trying to save so little is worth dealing with an unknown place.

Do they take paypal ?

They accept Credit Cards and Paypal.

I have been using Name.com for the past three years and never had any problem with their services. Their customer Support is also good.

Thanks, I got to know this at the right time. Will register some domains.

I would really advise people not to use a registrar that loses money with every registration (except .net & .biz) - there will obviously be a catch somewhere along the lines. $0.50 is simply not enough to sacrifice the safety of your domains.

I think he might be referring to the annual renewal fees. You might pay less right now but they will get later in the renewal fees. Its just a speculation. You have to determine the renewal fees for such a low price.

Hi Del.icio.us

What is the renewal fee for each registered domain? Would you care to share? I am also interested in trying Name.com. Thanks. :)

Prior to this offer, I have paid $7.99 for my .com/.net/.org/.biz/.us names.

There are several registrars, including GD offer transfer services for $6.95 with one year extension. So it'll not be a problem if you register now and transfer your domain name to a new registrar at the end of first year. Who knows, by this time next year, even name.com itself may offer .com registrations at very competitive rates than today's price. :)

Someone above said you get what you pay for. Name.com is in some way or another the same as or in conjunction with domainsite.com. Partly same web design. I have searched for negative comments about name.com on the net but sofar havenยดt found any.

That won't be a problem :)

I can transfer the name from here to another registrar in one year.

I am referring to the fact that it costs the registrars $6.49 (or somewhere near) to register a name. Therefore, by offering domains for less than what they pay (i.e. making a loss), it seems a little worrying.

I've heard from Moniker, that they will be increasing prices for registration, which will be adopted by all registrars.

So what one could do is register here for that price and then transfer to another i.e. after 60 days which is really beneficial looking from the price point.

Until when are Name's .COM/.NET/.ORG/.BIZ/.US registrations will be $5.99 ?

Would like to check it out myself but currently both Name.com and DomainSite are 'down' currently due to mysql errors...
