Hi,

My husband's bar/restaurant has recently closed, and I'm looking into how to sell the domain name we had for the business...Home.

What do you think it could be worth? I've had it for probably 10 years, maybe more.

Also, is it possible to simply lease the usage of the domain? I'm thinking about generating long term income, if at all possible.

Thanks for your opinions!

Given the domain though, and who the end-user would probably be, I don't really think traffic matters. If one of the beer companies wants to buy this for a promotion, or even use it for something more permanent, I think the past traffic will have little impact on the sale price. It's not like they're buying an established site based on its current stats/future potential and are going to continue to run it, they'll only be after the domain and what it could do for them.

I completely agree. This is not a domain to be parking, but should be franchised as its value is already established as a popular generic term. In addition, the breweries have megabucks.

Yes, this is a franchise. Not just a domain name, but the bottom line is you will be set for life, if done correctly.

Nice name, but not the lottery ticket this thread is making it out to be.

I think this tops out at $30,000 to $50,000.

This is not a brand to build around. It's an ad campaign.

HardLiquor.com ... $1,605
ImportedBeer.com ... $2,600

There is not a million bucks between ColdBeer and the above two.

Rick Schwartz owns the hyphenated version, now that would be the guy to market both. :$:

Not for you, but every bar, liquor store, supermarket and convenience store in the United States has a sign that states "Cold Beer".

Hard Liquor is not as much a catch phrase and Imported Beer is a very distant second to Cold Beer.

I would not give this gem away for a song like $xx,xxx. :santa:

The likelihood of this being a million+ dollar name is slim to none.
Great, great keyword name. Veeeeeeeeeeeeery unlikely that its a million+ dollar name, somewhat unlikely that it's even a six figure name, but possible there.

This would be a nice domain say, to be used in a superbowl ad. There are a couple companies that come to mind, the Coors light commmercial that has the freezing cold train running through the ad, and then there's the ad where the label turns blue when the beer is cold. It just seems that domain could be integrated easily into those ads.

The worth of this domain will vary greatly, depending upon how much effort and time you wish to use to find the perfect buyer.
