Hey all!

I am looking to sell my domain Coinvert.com - I was originally going to use to build a crypto to crypto exchange / crypto on-off ramp but I decided I wanted to focus on other projects.

This is probably one of the best crypto .com domains on the market because of how brandable and clean it is.

bit(coin) + con(vert) = coinvert

No other exchange out there has a name more clean and trustworthy, CoinBase, Binance, OKX, FTX, ChangeNow.io, FixedFloat.io all have nothing on Coinvert.

I am looking for $50,000 USD but I am open to offers.

You will never get another chance for such a clean domain for a crypto exchange ever again!

Thanks so much.

Just wanted to comment that this is an incredible domain in the crypto swapping niche. Anyone looking to make a site that swaps crypto from one type to another should definitely look at this name seriously 👀 great opportunity there.

Really great domain but $50k is far above what I could justify as an investor. The domain doesn't appear to be listed on any marketplaces (Afternic, Spaceship, Sedo etc.) and doesn't have a landing page either. You're missing out on a huge opportunity, you should be broadcasting the domain far and wide. You should be able to find an end user at $50k. Have you done any outreach to potential buyers? Any offers?

I could pay a few thousand for it but I'd immediately turn around and sell it for a lot more. Any amount I could pay for it will be a terrible deal for you. You can do everything I would do yourself.

If I were to acquire it, I would build a small list of technology-loving crypto executives / leaders who are running profitable companies (or have had exits), people like Brian Armstrong from Coinbase, and then reach out to let them know the domain is for sale. I would include a payment link that accepts crypto in the email (e.g: Spaceship.com) so that they don't have to think, just buy, i.e: they should not need to reply to me to purchase it, they should be able to read my email and buy it instantly.

Almost all domains are worthless junk, you have one of the few domains on NamePros that actually has potential and really doesn't need a hard sell, a crypto nerd with a bunch of money would buy the domain without a second thought a $50k.

edit: Kris from Crypto.com too, he just paid $70m for ai.com, and $10m for club.com (edit: actually maybe club.com was the other guy, all the crypto people blend together (edit edit: ah! Kris was og.com, I knew he had another big purchase recently)) he loves domains, I'd be shocked if he didn't want coinvert.com at $50k.

Obviously you know what you are talking about! If you have any interest in proxy selling (doing this strategy for a commission / % of sale, I would definitely be interested.

I'm not a broker but there are a lot of great brokers out there, Grit are one of the most prominent, highly recommended :) If you don't want to do it yourself, Grit are a good choice.

I would include a payment link that accepts crypto
Do you always recommend this, or specifically here due to the nature of the name?

Yeah, exactly, because the buyer will be in the cryptocurrency world, they're almost certainly going to want to pay by cryptocurrency (or, more accurately, a stablecoin like USDC). I wouldn't worry about including cryptocurrency payment options for normal business people (although Spaceship's support for it + normal payment methods is nice).

You didn't ask but I don't love the phrasing I used in the same comment ("they don't have to think") so I'll clarify here. I should have said something like: include a checkout link because successful people are decisive, if they're going to buy the domain, they'll know the moment they see it and want to get it done and return to the other things that require their time. Sometimes they might be of the negotiating-for-fun persuasion but more often than not, a domain at the right price will be bought without any back and forth.

And as I'm writing, I may as well add: the buy it now price I choose is typically ~40% higher than the minimum I would accept so that if they do decide to negotiate, I have room to negotiate quickly, I don't have to think about what price I want, I already knew before I sent the first email.

oh and be conscious of payment limits, e.g: the CEO of a profitable cryptocurrency startup can probably spend $50k in cryptocurrency without any approval. A CMO at a small family owned company probably cannot, they might only be able to spend 5/10/15k without approval.

I guess generalised to rules for outreach:

1. Any time you quote a price, always include a link the buyer can click to pay that price
2. Any payment link should be tailored for the buyer, e.g: cryptocurrency company should be able to pay in cryptocurrency
3. Aim to reach decision makers who either are unlikely to need approval at the price or have the political capital to justify the price (e.g: a co-founder of a product focused technology company would likely be trusted when they advocate for a valuable domain compared to a 6-month tenure chief marketing officer at a business services company who is unlikely to sway the business to make an investment)
4. Know what you want, be quick, clear and decisive, respect the recipient's time

And more specifically, at this moment in time, for nerds I provide Spaceship links and for non-nerds I provide Escrow.com (mentioning that they're licensed and accredited) and GoDaddy (because of their brand recognition) links and sometimes include Spaceship if I don't think it'll scare them off (Spaceship's checkout flow is obnoxious for the non-nerds).
