It really depends on which extension suits the name best.

If .mobi ever takes off, it will cater worldwide, where as .co.uk will always be used predominantly by United Kingdom based companies. The thing is, .co.uk has a much larger following, with a very large number of UK based companies using it over the .com.

.co.uk without a shadow of a doubt - .co.uk is the number one extension in the UK more common even than .com - if a UK company ha the .com extension it will also have the .co.uk it's an absolute necessity for any serious UK company

good co.uk has type in traffic.... .mobi has really none right now.

co.uk probably has a more stable aftermarket value at this point. but theyre 2 different extensions for 2 different purposes. one is a country code, one is a TLD meant for mobile devices.

My point is that if your domainname is targetted UK, then .co.uk for sure, no doubt about it. But if your domainname is targetted any other people/country then UK, then .mobi.

But withouth knowledge of any other factors it is impossible to say, really

you know where you are focusing on and as mjnels said they have different purposes, so if you are targeting just uk go for co.uk, if your names suits .mobi and you want the world see your site reg .mobi or even both and make use proper design for each extension (i mean, make a .mobi as it must be) but keep in mind .mobi is a specific niche
