So are the auction frenzies over now? I haven't bought a .co in at least 2 years but nabbed 2 on the drop.

Guess BuyDomains.com dropped a little of their .CO portfolio.

Nice pickup with Sneaker.co and Spend.co!

Does anyone else here have any names in Sedo's Numeric Domain auction this week? I spotted at least a dozen 3 and 4 character .COs (mine's a NNN starting with "8").

COSMIC PAUL,in answer to your first post at point 3....Google treats .co the same as .com in their search engines and also .asia +.eu +.ru as well as the good old .net etc so it is not supposed to be at a disadvantage but who really knows?Except Google.

The reserves on many of these nnn are silly. NNN .mobi with $xxxx minimums? Lol

Agreed! Mine is at a very low reserve, despite having received offers on it in the past. Low reserves tend to get eyeballs, and I figured Sedo sends an alert out to users who have previously made an offer on a name.

I don't know why *anyone* would want a .mobi at this point. :)

I've seen .CO, .TV, and even .biz and .cc in use by businesses and on signage "in the wild." To this day, I have never stumbled across a .mobi. I actually spotted a poster with a .CO on the subway a few months ago.

I think you were wise to have a low reserve and its on an NNN, it will stand out amongst the other names with crazy reserves. I mean Numeric.name ? Numeric.Pub etc... these names are handregs, sure if I was running a pub called 999 I might want 999.pub for handreg, but not for x,xxx.

Sedo also handles reserves poorly imo, there is a big difference between $10,001 and $25,000. Then you see bids at $24,999 reserve still not met, come on none of us are that stupid.

Best of luck Nadia.

I havent been following .CO lately, is there any value in these, I have had them since 2010

RHL.co
OGN.co (Online Gaming Network)

886.co (I have had offers up to $1000 from Chinese and Taiwanese buyers for this one, via Sedo and email, thought i would hold out)

Those are not inherently bad domains, giles. They are actually ok names. But .co is quite an obscure extension for most people to fathom (apart from us domainers) that I think it's a risk to hold too many of them. It's really up to you when you decide you've had enough holding them, and let them expire. Of course the number domain is slightly different kettle of fish. If you are getting offers on that of $xxxx, then it's probably worth holding until you get an offer you feel you can accept :)
