.com all gone, .co worth it?

[/COLOR]I go on godaddy everyday and search for domains to buy.
99% of .com are gone.
I use two word combos, and godaddy reply all registered.
I go through hundreds of two word combos too. lol

25-50% of .co is gone too.
So my questions are.......
1.) Can I make money £1000+ on .co (buying and selling .co)

EVERYONE keeps saying on these boards its all about
,COM...........but.......all the .com are gone.

2.) So is .co the only way forward?

3._ Also if i build a website on the .co will google list it
if i use SEO to the best of my knowledge?

Thanks for your help in advance.
Please no numpty reply's about looking elsewhere on this board.
If I found the answers to my questions I would not be posting.

Cheers Guys

There is a reason all the .COM are taken, because they have the most actual demand. The weekly reported sales are dominated by .COM with other extensions putting up a handful of sales.

Any other extension, including .CO, is going to have less demand, so the odds of selling anything other than a top tier term are far lower.

Amazing terms in .CO have resale value, but you are not going to find any to hand reg at this point.

There are still some decent .COM to hand reg if you dig deep enough, but it you are talking about investing the best option is really to buy quality domains on the secondary market. That is where you are going to find the best quality.

Hey people,

how are the 1 word .co domains sold. Given that one word is negative word or has "ly" suffix e.g. Broadly.co or Throughly.co.
I have seen 1 word .co selling at good amount but the words had some business use or may be just that word was too popular. But how about those that doesnt have much of a business use but are well known words.

I think one word domains of any type and any tld have very little value if they don't have much business sense. Even in .com. Of course there will always be exceptions. You really have to luck out to make a business out of it. IMHO.

PS: I just bought a one word .co here on NP with several meanings and a clear business sense for $5. You can find similar domains on GoDaddy Closeout Auctions. The prospect of me selling it to a likely end user for big bucks is minimal. Why? Why would they want the .co? There are plenty of better extensions to go after.

I just want to see what you guys think of the domain PEG (dot) co
I have it listed over in the appraisal section to try to get an idea of what its worth but I want to see what the people in this thread think.

How good of name is it (if at all)?

Thank guys... Appreciate your comments.

Cheers

I'll take it for a tenner ;)

PEG may have acronym value too, as it is nice and short, but actual value, I have no idea. I'd buy it for a tenner for sure! There are poorer 3 letter.co domains selling occasionally on the weekly domain sales league table.

I wanted to post here, it looks like I have a low to mid x,xxx single-word .co sale. Sorry, I can't post the name. It's in escrow now and the end user approached me. It's not anything truly technological or commercial, but I was quite fond of the name, and did have some backburner ideas for it when I got it 3 months ago. It's my first .co sale and my 5th domain sale.

Looking at the .co sales for the last few weeks, I think the sale amount was fair for both sides.

Last weeks sales were
Unlocked.co $5,677
Dayton.co $5000
Supersonic.co $4999
Crayon.co $4528 (was in pounds sterling)

And the week before Mon. March 17, 2014 - Sun. March 23, 2014
Skills.co $1,875
AllNaturalSoaps.co $1,195
jcl.co $2,250
cells.co $1,600
asos.co $1,500

I wanted to say, I have been quite pleased with the number of .co enquiries through Domain Name Sales (with the networking option that gives GD exposure) as well, though no .co sales there yet, just a brandable .com.

Some great .co sales this week:

light.co $25,000
seattle.co $9,999
understood.co $9,100
redeye.co $3,130
personal-protection.co $1,495
hospitales.co 1,100

My favorite is a great geo Seattle.co for $9,999

Very encouraging as one of my investments is the geo Monaco.co !

Monaco has the glamour of casinos, hotels, formula 1, the rich and the famous, the beautiful and Royalty of course.

Well, now me, I watch tv, I watch games, even golf when I am bored.
And whenever I see a website advertised?
I could care less.
So oco, oc.o, o.co....makes no nevermind to me.
And I am sure the majority of those watching the games.

Hi guys, what is a currently cheapest registar to transfer .co, any promotions ?

I presume one of them is name.com (if you don't want privacy => click away privaycross, or if you want => fill in "privacyplease" as promo code and you don't have to pay for the privacy). This should bring it to 22.99 USD.
I hope there are cheaper registrars, and am very interested in this question also.

redeye.co $3,130
personal-protection.co $1,495
hospitales.co 1,100

Same quality, most of names above were also regfee name.
With a huge luck, you will be able to make same $XXXX sales, but names are not really hot.
