The aftermarket for .CO is probably much stronger than .TOP and .XYZ. We can agree there. However, all 3 are short and generic gTLDs run by professional organizations with marketing resources behind them.

Good offer, but after selling none of them, I'm dropping almost all my .co's, and .co registry made all of them premium and I can't buy them back. Previously I bought them for reg fee. .co is like .tv. Lots of fake sales, and domainers and endusers are "scammed" in different ways by the registry, and domainers can't make money from them. But if you can find an ok keyword which was not made premium by the registry yet while .co is still "popular" this offer will help. The loveletter.co sale price is 3 times the asking price for phonemarket.com: crazy. If .co is really popular, then it makes sense to renew good domains, because dropping and buying back may cost a lot more than renewing for several years. In summary what I mean, this offer is great, but many more .co's were turned into premium by .co registry and can't even be purchased at previous regular prices.

We'll have a one-day flash sale all day Wednesday for .CO for $1.00 starting Wednesday at 00:00 GMT, which is today at 5 pm PT, 8 pm ET. It will run through all of Wednesday. So, about 36 hours.

The NamePros community is getting the heads-up here. From Thursday onwards through July 24, the .CO will be $1.99, all-inclusive promoted through a mailing to all Epik customers.

The reason for $1.00 and not $0.99 is that the registry did not like the optics of being under $1. The reality is that we were taking a loss because we believe very much in the .CO aftermarket.

I have requested @estibot.com to produce a list of .TOP domains that were previously registered but currently unregistered. We did this for .CO and it was very helpful. People need inspiration. Brainstorming domains is too time-consuming. When dealing with $0.99 names, it is a numbers game -- if you register 1000 of them for $990 and sell one of them for $1000, you are ahead of the game. The math works, but only if you don't have to spend 100 hours to fund the 1000 worthy names. That's why I like to provide the lists.

All reported 82 .top domains on June 30, 2019 are registered in almost 15 minute time interval at Alibaba. Total amount of sale of that 82 domains is $ 563,000 and all of them set to registrar's default nameservers.
It looks really fishy!

I am sure the .TOP after-market is still very early. Regardless of whether there were some less-than-arms-length .TOP transactions, I think it is reasonable to say that .TOP is at least as good a generic TLD as .XYZ, for example. I don't think it is as good as .CO, but I will say that .TOP has aggressive and capable marketing. It also has a management team in China where the pattern of "herd-following" has been observed previously when it comes to domain speculation. The folks at .TOP might want to study the .VIP history to see what can be learned there since I think .TOP is certainly in the same caliber as .VIP!

As it turns out, our Q3 on .COM is off to a fast start, and so we will likely be in rebate territory, in which case we can open up some .COM promo pricing.
