Great month in Sept. for .CLUB

After winning the best Registry award, DNW did a nice article about our our record month of premium sales. Also of note (not reported), I saw a number of non-registry names sell through SEDO.

DotTBA Report: .CLUB #1 new gTLD for volume and revenue.

Christa Taylor did a detailed report on the new gTLDs removing names that were offered free. Her reasoning is that she expects very low renewal rates so there is not inherent demand.

Strange, there is one .club domain that I like and still available for basic registration yesterday. Today I found out that the domain name is not available for registration and being listed at sedo as registry owned Premium Name. hmm

I am not able to see any bids on .club names in snapnames...am i missing anything here?

No you are not able to see any bids for good reason. SnapNames changed their system for all new auctions eliminating any visibility of the bids. We have over 250 bids yet you can not see them. Why would they do that? Bad for us but good for domain investors who try to find the gems. The issue was that an investor spends hours to find good names and bids on them for $69. Someone else spends all of 10 seconds and bids $70 and wins. Seems like SnapNames has changed their system to support hard working domain investors.

Lazy investors need not apply!

basically what happens is that they monitor the domain searches and list them as premium =) maybe they have a threshold of X requests per name to do this?
