What do you think about cloud dot tk?
Yes it is a .tk domain!
And yes I payed to register it for the next 2 years!

I just couldn't stop myself letting this keyword go just like that. Domaining is very addicting, unfortunately.

.TK is probably THE worst TLD. It has a very bad reputation, as you'll find online.

Of course, "Cloud" is a very desirable single-word term to have to the left of the dot.

So the question is which factor outweighs the other.

My hunch is that Cloud.tk is a liability as a brand name. So your buyer would probably have to be some company using "Cloud" as its brand name and obsessed with protecting its brand by buying every single "cloud" domain.

That's just a hunch.

Maybe the buyer is already buying "cloud" in every TLD. It doesn't have to start at .tk
Anyway, when I registered it I was thinking on something like free hosting service.

No seriois buyer will go for this one. Because it's a good keyword you might look for something like low $xx.

Agree with the above. I don't see a lot of upside in this name.
Even if end users are buying up cloud in ccTLDs, this must be the one they need the least (along .so).

Pitch the name to Turkey based cloud firms. I think you might get some joy from that. Since they are in Turkey the SEO benefit that could be enjoyed from having the local cltd could be an incentive.

I've heard that google doesn't like the .tk and other "free" extensions.

I don't know if its true but the .tk has been used a lot by spammers and scammers.

I don't know about that. There are 12m .tk domains indexed in google, but maybe you are right.
