I know namepros is loaded with talented designers so i'm giving it a try!

Type of Contest : Logo
Prize : $60
Contest End Date & Time : Tuesday, August 30, 2016 @ 7:00 PM EST
Size Requirements : Will need various sizes for marketing material so must look great in all sizes. It must especially look great on a website. A more horizontal design preferred.
Color Requirements : I don't have any preference so please be creative!

General Requirements : I honestly don't have any specific design in mind. So I'm banking on your creativity. The logo name is: GOTbrands. Design can be with or without the .com. I want the "GOT" to stand out somehow. The company invents, buy, sells and develop brandable domain names for startups. So the design should not only look great but also fit the idea. You may incorporate a unigue icon into the design but it has to be original and not something i can buy on a stock website.

Preferences: I prefer designs that looks original down to the text, if you have skills in illustrating or drawing. make sure the "GOT" stands out because it really carries the name.

Additional Information : Please do NOT post the name of the business in this thread as I don't want the search engines indexing the name for this contest. I will be giving feedback throughout the time.

Cool , the abstract design almost resembles a key..I will show to my team in the week. Interesting look; I will ponder on it.

Thanks. The arrow is kinda big, but also too common. The hallmark of the brand is that it looks like no other but has it's own individual original look..
I would like see if any other ideas come to mind.

The "gb" is nice and has potential to be used as a brand given it's original? But the text/font isn't anything much to look at. like betabrands.com.. I think at least the 'g and b' at the start of each word should reflect that design. And the edges in font should be more round than square. The square corners work for betabrands because the "b" brings it together as it identifies the brand.

I am also wondering I could see the "gb" with a different tail design too. right now it's straight/squared. here is an example of a design with a unique tail design that's not too soft or too masculine but still solid enough for a brand.

I only want to see how it looks! I would like to here your opinions too.. because being a designer you are more knowledgeable. the design doesn't have to be exactly like the example above..

This is a really attractive logo here. I think this would serve very well for your website. It stands out. It's not too much. It's not overboard. It looks like a very reputable brand just by the look of this logo. The color is perfect. I think this designer nailed it.

Thanks for you valuable feedback! I think I saw the font and thought it needed a little work.. I really like the "gb" myself.

Do you thinK the font should be different from the "gb" initials. In betabrands.com you see how their "b" is the same design as their "BB" design?
Right now he has it as GOTbrands. Should it be "gotbrands" with the "g" similar to that in the initials..or maybe just make it all common letters?

Lastly did you see the edited design of the "gb"?

Also should their be a circle behind the "gb" ? Or another shape like the following examples:

The circle examples would be like brands such as: ge, Pinterest, wordpress...etc..I was wondering if it would give it structure; brining it together

This is really similar to a design on Behance. It wouldn't be a big problem, but the letters are hand drawn by the designer. So it would be quite a big coincidence to design the same shape for the g and the b. There is a high chance that Mr. Mashari took those letters and made the logo with them.
