Hello to all owners of cities or countries .TV

I am interested to create a .TV Networking so we can market altogether our products and/or services for .TV.

I'm planning to have a similar approach of Associated Cities where .com cities joined forces to promote their online services. It is a similar concept but for .TV extension only.

For details, please visit www.Geopreneurs.TV
I started the discussion as well here:
http://www.michigan.tv/forum/topic/show?id=2201005:Topic:170

What do you think?

Regards,
Em

.US domains.US domains
I think using a .com for a .tv network is going to add feul to the fire.

I agree.

It's about like having a .net network with the main site being an .info.

I realize this so I bought Geopreneurs.TV last night, what do you think?

So you have Geopreneurs.TV and GeoNation.com. Word to the wise, go with a single brand and dump the .COM. Now you have two extensions, which is one thing, but two different domains (front end). It is not like you have GeoNation.com and GeoNation.tv.

What about something like GeoNetwork or GeoNetworking.

No idea if those are available, but if they are, I want credit and my name in lights.

Now to the concept.

Very frankly, there is one man (Niko Younts) who would be able to pull off such a concept. I don't think anyone realizes how much networking Niko does on behalf of .TV. Owen Frager's blog has given you a glimpse of what Niko has done for the extension. I assure you, that is only skimming the surface.

Niko is the only one who bridges the GEO .TV camp divide and would be able to pull in every single major GEO .TV owner.

It is like the current Burger King commercial. What have you done to deserve eating that sandwich.

Niko has done so much to help promote the extension, that disparate parties like Brian Berke and myself would probably join an association if Niko asked, simply as a thank you for all of his help.

This is not a slight on you or the concept. It is simply a statement on the dynamic world of GEO .TV and the current conditions.

Follow up> I think equity78 also has enough clout to pull off this concept due to all he has done for .TV. So there are two people, not just one, who could pull off an association. It would be tough for anyone without the clout of Niko or Raymond to pull this off.

I will definitely use Geopreneurs.TV to promote it, geonation.com is just another tool to redirect.

Thanks for the insight George.

I'm open to all suggestions to make it happen. If I network to 10 owners, that's a success for me and will go from there. Start for something small, measurable and attainable.

I know MCB, equity and ASNB has some portfolios if they join.

I will check it, thanks bulldog.

That would be a brilliant idea indeed. :)

I agree that we would really need to get everyone on board, hence the need for someone who can actually pull in every single geo.tv owner.

Sounds good :)

I have GeoCoop.com if you want to use it... GeoCoop.TV is available for registration I believe.

Sounds like Niko has put alot of work in the .tv promotion, I always have respect for hard work.

George do you feel like Geo.TV is about to bust open?

Bust open - not sure. but I do believe enough branding will be done around the extension to build sustainable momentum going forward.

.TV will be the alt extension to .COM.

.NET, .ORG, .US, and others do not have the support structure in place.

Eventually the support structure behind .TV will surpass the historical advantage and 12 year head start by .NET and .ORG. It is only a matter of when

This comment is for US market only.

CCTlds in their native market are another matter.

An analogy. At one company, we struggled for a while getting users. Then all of a sudden we caught fire. It took six months to a million users. two months to the next million. Eventually, a million users were registering every couple of weeks. In 18 months, we had 20 million users.

When it happens, it happens very quick.

This is very interesting feedback George, thank you for sharing this to us.

I agree with you about the .TV business direction. I accept the fact that I can't afford to buy geo .com domain names. I'm here forming my team to create my own geo online properties for .TV. I'm in the process of moving www.Fairfax.TV to be part of this small project.

Cheers to all geopreneurs for .TV

I haven't complete the communities for www.Fairfax.TV at this time but moving along "slowly". I'm busy moving to my new place in Fairfax this week. Expect no update for a while.

Cheers Geopreneurs.TV

Great idea. Have Co-operative.TV available. Also, many hundreds of Country and City .TV's available. Count me in...

Marketing your projects simultaneously take most of your time and; managing multiple communities slow them altogether so I decided to stop one and focus to www.Michigan.TV doing marketing.

And the bad part of this is I forgot to renew one of my premium domain... I'm still trying to get it back but to my dismay it was reset to $10K per year.
