As a domain parking newbie, I had read many articles in namepros. I learned that parking divide into direct type in and expired backlink domains. However, I find this forum is filled with expired domains for parking. Maybe I haven't seen all of the articles in this platform.
I think the most important thing for rookie is to find the domain instead of determine which company is better for parking, so I sincerely hope somebody could tell me which direction should I choose as a freshman. Typo or expired domains?
About typo domain:
I had hand registered some typo domains and parked in parkingcrew. However, the CTR is just 20% and the revenue is 0.05 everyday. Now I list my method and hope your advise.
for alexa 1-15000 com domains:
1. generate the typo words of this domain
2. check whether these typo domains are available
3. clear up the available domains and use google adwords to verify whether it is in common use
for alexa 1-15000 ctTLD domains, find the available com typo domains.
Although I had done so much, my revenue is still big 0. Could it be said that my direction is wrong? Whether should I turn to expired domains?
About expired backlink domain :
I didn't do much work about this except read smurge's article. As I am not good at programming, how can I select the domain from thousands domains. Just pick the domain from expireddomains.net according to the backlink? Maybe I should buy domains in auction godaddy or dynadot or namejet ?
To be, or not to be, I am puzzled and at a loss. Here thank you for anyone who give me advise. I hope to find a master to lead me in parking and traffic. Maybe it is a vain hope.
I like make friends and hope for your advise: reply, PM or email to [email protected]
Many thanks!:bingo:

Onething i would like to say to you and all the newbie,

No one is going to share there method on how do they get good domains,

You will get advice from experts, go for backlinks, go for typos or whatever but no one will help you find how..

Its you that needs to research and keep researching...

Most important thing is Have patience, you buy a domain and u dont expect you are going to make money overnight, some domains take time, some domains get less traffic, some domains are seasonal, its all different... some domains might start makinig money overnight but it all depends on many factors.

What you are doing just keep doing, have patience.. Say you have bought 10 domain today, wait for 6 to 8 months and see how it does, keep a record on what basis you bought those domains, which domains are having more success and then keep repeating your method,

If nothing is working for you just try to change the method.. Remember its not easy to get a domain which makes money, 100's to 1000's people are keeping an eye.

Its just you need to find your own method, you can learn from forums but the real implementation and method of buying would be all yours..

good luck

Many domainers will disagree with me, but I personally see parking as a sinking ship.

Revenues have been on the decline for years, and Google is on record as considering parked domains to be spammy.

Yes, you can pursue domains for the sake of their backlink-derived or other traffic. But such domains are often of low quality as brand names -- meaning that resale value is dependent on parking. With parking revenues dropping year after year, I'd recommend looking at domains based on criteria that assume parking doesn't exist as a revenue stream.

If you aim for domains that businesses will want to pay a premium on to use as brand names and web addresses, then you'll have a more permanent, more independent source of value and (hence) revenue.

There are many approaches, of course. And people do make money with parking. But most of them began building portfolios long ago.

I am partly agree with you. It is true that the revenue of domain parking is dropping. However, the traffic of internet is changing everyday, many new sites emerge everyday. So you can chose the start up or potential company 's domain,it will be a huge traffic. Of course, it is difficult to do domain parking than before, then we need to do more work.

By the way, what you said is great. I will think about it and hope for your advise from now on.:hearts:
