I believe only short and easy-to-remember domain names are sustainable, regardless of where in the world you live and which cultural background you come from.

Now that the Chinese domain market has become a hot topic, I myself want to understand this trend too. Is there any real meaning behind each domain name sold in China? Here, I'd like to share with you what I've found as I read the Chinese news everyday.

GZX.com
GZX can stand for 更自信 (even more self-confident) which can be used in many fields such as education, self-help, and even consumer products to raise your self image.

XLY.com
XLY can stand for 夏令营 (summer camp) or 新领域 (new field) which can be used in recreation and high-tech products.

what are these means in chinese?
The idea of Chinese meaning works well mostly on letters there are not aeiouv. There are few exceptions, of course, such as e at the beginning or v at the end. In your case, I can't find good meanings for the domain names because of the "o" and "i" in them..

Please note there is a slight difference in the name between the traditional Chinese (香港島, which is your domain name) and simplified Chinese (香港岛). Very subtle difference. One man's rubbish is another man's treasure, so value is subjective.

8194.com?
I know 8 is popular, I was also reading that these numbers are pronounceable, does this arrangement have any significance or is it simply a good CHIP? or NNNN.com? What do you think it will sell for?

Got in the bidding war on namejet, just checked, currently at $10,000. yikes.

Doing a little research:
8294.com 20,000 USD 2016-04-25 NameJet
Though isn't 2 a bad number? or is that 4?

It's going to go for a lot then, already at 12,000 on namejet with almost three days left, jumped 10k in last day. Thanks for the input :)

富8.com

8 rhymes with 发 (make a fortune) and 富 means "wealth", so it is a money word. I am not a fan of domain names made of number and Chinese character. I have no idea who the buyers may be. Sorry, can't help.
