Is it a somewhat good estimate that
chinese LLLL.com premiums are at at least $1billion value today?
Unlike Number .coms chinese premium LLLL.com boomed in value in a very short period.
Will they hold their value or is it the biggest BUBBLE ever seen in domains?

Share your thoughts please

The floor appears to be moving up again.
Yesterday a number of 4l's ended at $1400+:

pkqr.com - $1400 - Namejet
wglt.com - $1400 - Namejet
llkp.com - $1650 - Namejet
cbls.com - $1600 - Namejet
etc.

Godaddy which for some reason appears to be one of the worst places to list some types of Chips right now seemed to have a floor of close to $1300 yesterday:

txgn.com - $1286
qrwf.com - $1275
zprd.com - $1275
gdyb.com - $2186 (sold over $2k)

FYI: I am not blaming anyone for taking money off the table, particularly if they've made a nice ROI, but almost daily now the barrier of entry/re entry is going up fast.

wonder who "first" is?
but he not buying cheap to sell high ?

From what I have seen some others say, is that "first" is a bidding proxy for Chinese investors. Essentially a middleman for back orders from China. I cannot confirm this, but the post is here somewhere here on NP where someone addresses this.

There is also another bidding proxy that is a commonly seen name on NJ and SN, but it escapes me at the moment - sorry

I was suspecting that, but I hadn't looked into it. I can confirm that beianx and biddcom are bidding proxies for Chinese domainers on Pheenix.

The floor is definitely moving up. I've been monitoring sales under $1200 for awhile. It's an odd statistic but easy to compile, and it shows a definite upward trend. Median sale price would be more helpful but beyond my statistical firepower.

In the same period, the 10th percentile has moved from $600 to $900, per LLLLsales.com.

I have removed the odd Flippa sales that are way below market value.

Yeah seems to be one or two odd sales especially at flippa although I think some don't actually complete.

That being said, it's getting hard to get names under $1200 right now anywhere and it's looking like $1500 will be the floor in the not too distant future at this rate.

If the Chinese Premium 4L Domains are infinitely important and holds exceptional resale value to Chinese buyers. So why the Chinese investors letting these domains expire.

Someone just made Chinese domains so important to the domainers. so far I didn't see any end user value. Domains circulating between domainers only.

Flippa seems to be the worst platform to sell on right now IMO.
$1200 is okay, but on namejet today that name would probably get $1400 or so.

Anyway once sold you need to move on is what i've found out.
BTW in your post above you have quoted 4l.net expiring which is a completely different discussion to 4l.com.

I agree, 4L.net completely different to the demand for 4L.com

Bubble away.

I got my 89 LLLL cheap, mostly BINs and bottom feeds.

The most I paid was $300 for a CVCC and $2xx for a Chip (which, at the time, I didn't know was a Chip: What Does Jesus Say).

The rest were $8, $9, $10, $11 pickups after the last bubble.

I would not buy right now, but I can afford to wait, even if there is a correction.

The prices you see in namejet you will never see in forums. Noone will ever pay you the same money!

There's an obvious reason for that, as domainers want to pay the lowest price possible so look at a godaddy taking 20% commissions etc. and by paying lower prices the seller gets fast cash without having to wait 2 weeks from start of auction till receiving funds and they know commissions are saved as well.

I am extremely bullish on 4l.com chips I won't lie about that, but of course I recommend everyone to be careful and cautious as nothing is certain in the long run.

There won't be any left under $2k in a month's time at this rate.
The price of entry goes up daily it seems.

I thought $2k floor may take 2-3 months, but now it's looking unlikely to take as long as that.

Based on the current stats and curve, the 2K floor will be in full swing in less than a month.

I know people think we may be hyping this up, but really the Chinese are plain and simply paying up and pushing the prices up, not a few people on a forum.

I personally know of a number of Chinese investors who last week wouldn't go above $1k or so and now are offering $1250 - 1300 for anything in the last couple of days. The barrier to entry is going up fast whatever we think.

From watching the aftermarkets i've discovered that currently the highest overall prices seem to be at:

Namejet, Pheenix/Dropcatch, godaddy, SEDO, Flippa.
For some reason sedo and flippa seem to be great to find the odd bargain and the overall floor always seems to be a bit behind the others for now.

thats because in FLIPPA there are only cheapskates like in forums.

Yeah I guess so, although Sedo is also slightly behind the others although only by a small amount overall.
Flippa has been the place to pick up some great bargains lately.
