What do you think of plural city names for reg fee? I just picked these two up and there are several more available if anyone is interested.

With the Geo frenzy going on, I figure $50 for these two (2 of the top 5 most populated cities) was worth it. It seems it works with some city names and not others.

Granted they would have to marketed to catch on but who knows? They could have value to someone?

Any feedback is appreciated.

to be honest, I don't get it. I don't think I have ever heard anyone refer to cities in the plural the way you have regged them.

Even for $50, there are better things you can reg that are real words, IMHO.

Very surprised to find these available.

I'm more excited about these registrations then I've been in a while (granted all my registrations aren't the best) but these seem like can't miss with the right development. Especially since I live in Los Angeles and have some access to writers and directors.

Many possibilities for development.

Perhaps a how to, or channel dedicated to the art of making and writing movies. Could be a channel for people to show their homemade movies.

I can possibly interview famous moviemakers and scriptwriters and develop content for the site. Maybe have part of the site for professionals and part for amateurs.

Any people in LA interested helping to develop ,pm me

waste of money, the S doesnt make sense. you could just put any letter at the end of a good city or name but that doesnt make it worth the regfees.

Poodle,

Today you will get hammered for these regges!!!

Even if you had the money to market your web address by hiliting the S at the end, nearly all your traffic will still end up typing in Chicago and Houston since the S is so unnatural.......

I understand you are making it into an apostrophy/ownership thing but that works so much better with peoples names, such as Johns' TV or Mikes' TV then it does with city names.

If you do spend money marketing your name, expect christmas cards in the post from the owners of Chicago and Houston..... :alien:

Fair enough - I would never spend money marketing them. Houstons is actually a popualr resturant chain as well. Like I said I agree with you guys for the most part, but to me somebody caught in the geo hype would probably pay me a small prohit if not not reg fee for them.

I'm way more excited about moviemaking.tv and scriptwriter.tv!!!! :)
