This is like the best $8 I've spent on a domain name since the 2003.

Last night, at a get together; got to talking with a pretty cute girl, hit the point in the conversation where we exchanged email addys. She asked for mine:

"It's (MyFirstName)@e(MyFirstName).com..." which apparently shocked her, which in turn beget an epic conversation between me, her and four of her ridiculously attractive friends about email, domain names, having your own email, etc.

Didn't think much of it- checked mail this morning and three of the five broads had emailed, with two noting how they could "remember" my email so easily, including the one who initiated the whole thing... Now, I'm no super-attractive guy- by any stretch- but apparently, the novely of the email stuck in their minds and actually inspired them to message.

This thing is gold. GOLD, I tell ya. .999 fine, gold plated gold. Probably the next best thing to [email protected], which are pretty much limited to a handful of guys who were into domain buying in the early 90's.

If you have a really common first name, you're probably screwed since eCommonFirstName.com's seem to be gone, but in checking a few random names, there are surprisingly many still out there. Spend this $8, set up an email on it and start using it- trust me. It will pay dividends.

the efirstname.com for me is gone but since I got my first name @ lastname.com and my first name @ firstlastname.com I'm good, I would tell anyone though if you can grab your last name do it as I love having [email protected] as an email.

Yeah, my lastname.c/n/o/us is long, long gone... Would love to have it.

Still, when people you know in real life think of you, you're generally compartmentalized in their minds by your face and your first name...
"Oh, that's Dave. That's Bill".

There's something about this eFirstName.com as an email that really seems to resonate.

I use me at MyFullName.com It works for me.

The unfortunate thing is, eRandy.com was just recently registered, July 25th of this year. Bummer.
The good news is they are selling it for $795!
Sure glad I got mine for reg. If I knew about it what I know now but it wasn't available, I'd have spent the $795 just to own the damn thing.

There is an allure about it. I'm not too fond of prefixes but I guarantee you I'd buy randy.com if I had the cash and if it was for sale. But if I could have gotten it cheap, I'd consider eRandy.com.

My name is pretty well-known (as a writer [although I'm not Stephan King material] and a domainer) so if I told ppl my address verbally, they'd never forget it -- at least not the ppl who know me. So owning FirstLastName.com can be as helpful, too.

What is .TEL?

What is .TEL?

.tel is this funny little thing that was dreamed up by an alcoholic (he HAD to have been under the influence) who wanted to make a domain that doesn't and can never be forwarded to an actual web site. Oh that funny little man! Probably thought he'd become a billionaire because of this.

Your 'e' first name works as an aphrodisiac, Dong....?....Heh, heh...Hey, why not...?

Sadly, both my 'e' and 'i' first name is long gone (tho, my 'e' first name is for sale at $2500).

I do have my last name.net (and also, .com.au - I'm an Aussie), which I use as email addys as [email protected] & .com.au, which works really well.

Why not try iFirstName.com?

Tried...gone in all major extensions...common typo. Funny thing is that I don't have a common name! Oh well...I will just have to try to bring them home with me straight from the bar. :)
