Where do you guys keep all your domains? In your opinion, what's the best registrar for cheap prices, good support, etc.?

Not sure if you are TLD specific...

Godaddy is my favorite because of discounts, never had a problem (6+years)
but I don't have 700+ domains to manage.

I also use ready.ca for my .ca's as well as Namespro.ca - great service from both.

Hope this helps :)

Well.. being new to both this forum and buying domains together I don't know if my opinion is super valid here, but after browsing through tons of domain purchasing sites I found two.

GoDaddy.com seemed the most... user intuitive and easiest to set up (and decently priced).

Then there was cheapnames.com. They sell their domains for incredibly cheap prices but the UI (user interface) isn't up to par.

You can check us out: centimm.com

We've been around since last year and have quite a few customers from NP. We have competitive prices with other registrars as well. Whois privacy protection is included for free, too! If you wish, and if your needs demand it, I'll throw in a free GlobalSign SSL certificate.

Aren't you just a reseller?

Looks like it....

Yes we are. How does that affect anything? Namecheap is a reseller and many are happy with their service. Also, we resell a strictly reseller brand and we don't compete with our provider in anyway (like resellers of netearthone, or GD).

domain registar

I am using cipwebhosting.com for 4 yrs, as a beginner easy to manage, around 9$ normal price and no more stupid additional cost for necessary things (like DNS, etc). Also, i am using free hosting to prepare domain to sell on ebay.

I have an eNom reseller account that I use for myself and for client sub-accounts. Not the cheapest (was $8.95, recently went up to $9.45) but I don't have huge volume and being able to manage my own and client domains efficiently saves me a ton of time.

For clients who don't need hand-holding, I recommend NameCheap or GoDaddy. NameCheap is an eNom reseller. They're offering $4.99 .com transfers right now. I've had good dealings with them for several years, no problems, so right now they are the ones I recommend.

Personally I find GoDaddy irritating, but their customer service is good and I've never had trouble transferring domains from them, so I trust them.

I would agree with mcdonna.

As evident with the monster GoDaddy thread here, they always have codes available that brings prices down.

On thing to note though, is that they frequently try to upsell you every chance they get, so just don't accidentally add anything you don't want in your shopping cart, and you'll be fine.

Namecheap also regularly have promotions and issue new codes on monthly basis.

If whois privacy is a requirement, then I would go with Namecheap over GoDaddy. (Although you can get it for free if you register 5 or more at GoDaddy in the same transaction).

I like Namespro.ca for my .ca domains too.

You likely won't find another Canadian registrar with faster turnaround time when it comes to support.

No kidding! They are relentless. I've had several clients who accidentally added privacy or hosting or whatever when they didn't want or need it. But the really good thing about GoDaddy is that they were able to get on the phone, talk with a human, and get the service removed and charges reversed quickly and painlessly. I've got to give GoDaddy a lot of credit for that.

So it's OK for a company to trick you into buying products you don't want as long as they are willing to cancel the sale if you notice the problem and take the time and effort to call them about it?

I have been registering all my domains through www.WhoisXY.com . They provide me best offers and service for very low cost.

Must be your site?
For sure, 15 bucks a year to register a domain is quite high!

Maybe, if it is not your site, you should think about other registrars that are so much cheaper.

Plus that site is horrible for any information about domains to register, etc etc etc.

So truthfully, who does this site use?

I like namecheap. I used to use GoDaddy but they try to sell you too much crap before you get to the checkout so I switched.

I use internet.bs. They are good and cheap and they also offer live support. So I will suggest you that.
