Celebrity Fan Site

I am interested in building a celebrity fan site with pictures, lyrics, biography, discography, etc. My question is how would you get pictures for a site like this. I'm sure that most sites that have pictures don't have copyright permission, but is that okay? Do the copyright owners really care, and if they do, couldn't I just remove it if demanded?

Has anyone here tried developing a celebrity fan site? How many uniques did you get, what did you do to get those visitors, and if you don't mind telling, how much did you make off of it?
