Hello, i am thinking about setting up a local registrar for my area and im wanting to know which is the best reseller for .com.au domains. The reseller account must be easy to use and customizeable and has the cheapest prices.

If anyone has any recommendations please post here.

Thanks

Morgan

.US domains.US domains
I browsed a bit on reviews of Domain The Net... Seems they are the most widely used registrar in Israel so I guess the chance they go out of business soon is quite small then. Some review said, bizarrely enough, it's impossible to log out of your session (I find that quite hard to believe) while they at the same time praised the security measurements that give each domain a second password on top of the general account password + that for unlocking the domain an email sent to the owner has to be confirmed.

Well, I used to live in Ireland for a while, and .ie is quite restricted. Only those residing on the island (regardless if it's Republic of Ireland or the British province of Northern Ireland) can register them. Do you have an Irish address??

If yes, I can check some good places to register for you. There's a second warning though: they are far from cheap ...

You need to have an address in Ireland or you can register an Irish or European Trademark. The domain name has to partially or completely resemble the trademark. If the owner doesn't have an address in Ireland and is a company, then substantial trade or commercial activity within Ireland has to be proven, this can be done with some paperwork.

Anyone transferred a .es name

Hi, I registered a couple of .es names with eurodns a while ago. I recently noticed that UK2.net now does .es names so thought I would transfer them over as I have a few names with them plus web hosting.

Anyway, I went thru the transfer to us page and it has part worked but I have had an email in spanish that I need to act upon to complete the transfer from red.es. Problem is, I don't know what to do next. Anyone done this?

This is the email

Estimado Sr./Sra. Atentamente, DOMINIOS.ESEntidad Pรบblica Empresarial Red.es

It asks for a log in and password but i have neither? can anyone help please

many thanks

Richie

the changes of .es registrars have to be authorized throught the national authority for .es domains, nic.es. You have to login with your handle nic. Youu can check the whois of your domains and look for a code after "contacto administrativo".

Then you have to introduce that code in the "identificador" field on page https://www.nic.es/esnic/jsp/Login_UR.jsp and click in the link "recuperar contraseรฑa" a few lines below and your password will be submitted to the email of the administrative contact. With the handle nic and the password you can access to the admin area of nic.es

Into the admin area you have to click in "Solicitudes" and then "Listado de solicitudes". There will be a list where your domain will appeare and a link, click over the link and push over "aceptar" or something like that.

If you have any doubt please let me know and i will try to help you.

is there a place or affordable registrar (inexpensive) where we can create our companies reseller account for .in/.co.in domain names? Prices have to be really low, because we're looking to offer free domain name registrations in these 2 ccTLD's (.in & .co.in)

Please advise..

Hi again

You did it :) Thank you so much, at last someone with proper, genuine advice that works. Thank you very much.

as for UK2.net, i regged a few names with them 10 years ago and just stuck with them for ages. I now do most of my new reg's with godaddy but still use them for .co.uk. Transfering .com's from them is a pain in ar@#

.co.uk is 2.69 pounds per year at the moment (usually 2.99) and you have to register for at least 2 years, 5.38 plus a bit of tax, bargain :)

anyway, thank you very much once again

I have travelled all over Europe including some of the areas where foreigners heavily invest in real estate. I lived in several European countries and had to use estate agents quite often myself as well. Not a single time I ever encountered one which used .re for their website. They all either used a .com or the local ccTLD. I never saw any .re being used by any estate agent, and why would they anyway? Ask a random 1000 people what they think of when hearing the abbreviation RE and I'm quite sure 999 will either not know or come up with something totally different. To use .RE for real estate sounds as silly as using it for .REstaurant ...

Also, the registry never made any effords or any widely recognised effords to brand their ccTLD as intended for the real estate business. Nearby Mauritius tried to brand .MU for MUsic, but I never heard any similar actions from Reunion that the registry would try to internationally sell their domain.
