CCC Trends

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
I've compiled sales trends for 3C (LNL, LLN, etc) .com domains. Feel free to take a look. All data is compiled from Sedo, Afternic and Namejet. Prices reflect overall averages of median sales outside of forums.

So we now have sales charts for:
CCC Com Mixed
LLL Com Sales Volume
LLL Com Premium
LLL Non-Premium

I've removed the registration requirement so everyone can browse and give some feeback.

Sincerely,
Wire

CCC.com have held up very well in a bad market. There are only 29K total CCC.com, and many are developed Chinese sites. There are even fewer of the better combos NNL.com (2600) / LLN.com (6760)

I think in 2009 they will stay even to gain a little. But long term they are great buys.

Nice graphs

Are those part of joomla?

I agree. The charts clearly indicate that premium LLL and all CCC are holding up nicely in a down market.

There are some charts you can purchase for joomla but since I am charging nothing and making nothing I had to use some free flash charts. I customized them so they would work within the context of a joomla banner.

More chart stuff to come now that the hard part of making it all work is done.

It'd be great to see the charts with outlier sales removed (eg. non-premium LLL.com over $10k, premium LLL.com over $20k, CCC.com over $1k or some other numbers chosen as cutoffs).

The graphs are very nice Wire, thanks for sharing them with everyone :)

Reece,

What do you mean by outlier sales?

For LLL Non-Premium net/org/com I have used 3character's data.
For CCC I have stuck only to those values which were within the median range, so anything over $1000 was removed.
For LLL Premiums I removed Acronyms and Dictionary words as well as a few aberrations.

I am also thinking about charting LLLL data of varying types, are you interested in provided some data? I would merrily use yours for credit and links, etc.

Hi Wire,

Thanks, just wasn't sure how the numbers were being calculated -- good to know :tu:

TDVR.com would be the best source for historical LLLL.com data.

The namebio interface provides more of the options I was looking for. I don't think I'll be charting the CVCV vs VCVC type stuff that's on tdvr.

I like the trend charts on the site, any idea why they aren't updated?

Not sure. I'd like to see it updated as well (perhaps Antonio would know).

I'm almost done with 'Outliers' the story of success by malcolm gladwell

I do recommend it!

If you thought it was a good idea to make a small version/widget of your graphs for other sites to use (credit and link to your site) that would be cool, I'd like that feed :)

It can definitely be added to the list. I think I would have to answer some questions first. These are just general questions aimed at the community at large, not at your site specifically:

1) What kind of script will the sites need? Do most of the potential persons who might use this feed run their own sites, blogs, wordpress or joomla and which can I write for most easily?
2) If I need to license a more robust engine it might require site licenses - are the sites able to cover the fee or am I absorbing the cost?
3) Are the charts adequate as they are or do I need more data such as LLLL, dictionary words, etc to make them more varied? These are items I expect to get on there eventually so work on those now or live feeds?

Thanks to both of you for your input and thoughts so far.
