I have this domain parked at voodoo and with some research I found many of the backlinks refer to the https version.

Since all of those backlinks lead to an error page I feel like there are a lot of missed opportunities.

Is there a way I can correct this by installing an ssl certificate and then redirecting ssl links back to the HTTP version to capture this traffic?

Basically what I want to accomplish is:

No matter how the link is placed, www.link.com or link.com or https://link.com or https://www.link.com, when clicked, all versions are directed to HTTP://link.com, therefore displaying the parked page.

Situations like that is why I opted for in-house landers. More control, better SEO, more in-depth analytics, landers rank in top 1 to 5 pages of Google for organic search terms, and I have SSL set to turn all http referrals into https so all the landers resolve regardless if its http or https referred traffic.

Everyone does it different though.

I would like to think that a parking company with HTTPS already can serve http referrals, also converting them to HTTPS so the landers resolve.

Or I may be misunderstanding what your asking.

The only way to accomplish that is through 301 htaccess or server-side redirects.

Unless voodoo gives you that level of control, the best way is if you create your own custom landing pages like Eric recommends.

I eventually just made it an addon domain on my hosting account, made a .htaccess with some rewrite conditions and added an A record to forward to voodoo.

Seems to be working.

I'll definitely look into custom landers. Thanks!

Just make sure the redirect is 301 to be beneficial for SEO.
