Can you imagine the articles and the feedback if Escrow.com did what DN.com is doing right now? DN.com, a Chinese escrow agent, went down Thursday. Not into maintenance mode. No lander page. A blank page. Nothing resolves at all. There was no warning ahead of time. No message to people to tell them don’t start a transaction because in three days we are going off line. They let everyone start transactions and then went offline merely telling them to email if they are in the middle of a transaction. Here is their only information. An unusual letter looking like it was written in Google Translate

It's probably just bad communication but can you imagine if Escrow.com just went offline like DN.com did this weekend? Just a cryptic tweet

How many transactions are currently in process and what will happen to them.
When they will be online again.
Will it able to gain same trust.

Because they did the exact opposite of what everyone on here would do by changing their business to a lower quality and less pertinent domain. Plus many members on here have had issues with their customers service. Plus their rep on here spends time hyping new extensions without helping members figure out what's going on with their site.

That's not being negative, that's just the facts. If it is taken as negative, then that is on the business not NP members. The business has made poor decisions.

From my experience their customer support was great and very helpful... As for the domain name change, well it is their business and they can choose which ever domain they wish.

So, they made a decision to cash out on the great name? Probably got a $5M-10M offer on DN, wen and got DND for about $200K... Remember that escrow.com, with the perfect match name for the category, sold only for few million bucks recently...

The website is still out of date. No logo. Old domain still in use, although new domain is visible in places. I would expect a slick upkeep front end as well as back end.

While I support the "smaller-guy" for one-time purchases and business deals, when it comes to ongoing services where your assets / cash-flow is at stake, sometimes you have deal with who most likely isn't going anywhere at the drop-of-a-dime....or scandal.
