Can Someone Please Walk Me Through The Sedo Process?

Can't get my head around SEDO to save my life. I understand it is probaly one of the best places to sell on domains, but the control panel to manage my domains I'm finding absolutely unfathomable.

Why on earth they can't just have a simple button saying, Send To Auction, is anyone's guess.

I'd like to put a few of my domains in to auction there, how exactly do I go about this please?

How too, do I increase the chance of a successful sale through Sedo, what else can I do, that I'm not doing already?

Could someone please walk me through my options over there, proffer advice on whether it's best to simply place them in the marketplace area, or indeed to actually put them through the auction?

If not Sedo, which presently is now starting to drive me up the absolute wall, where else is there that one can go, that consistently pulls in a good crowd of business buyers looking to purchase domains?

Would really appreciate some assistance here.

Kindest regards and best wishes.

Mark

Probaly more questions to come, 5am here now, getting a bit paddywhack knackered - that's tired btw. Time for bed I think.

In exchange for your trouble, I'll send you a name or two.

:hi: Mark,

You can't just send a domain to auction. Someone has to make an offer on
your domain first then you can choose the option to send it to auction.

From Sedo:
"An auction may be started when you have received an offer through the Sedo marketplace, which you then choose to accept as the reserve price. Domains for auction will be featured on Sedo's home page and at the top of search result listings, allowing thousands of potential buyers to compete and bid up the final sales price. Since you already have a committed offer serving as the reserve, your auction listing is guaranteed to end in a sale! (My comment: sale is guaranteed only if the Buyer pays).

Sellers will have the option to start a Marketplace Auction through the domain's negotiation page within their account. Auctions can be started up to five days after a buyer has submitted an offer and close seven days after that offer was submitted. If your domain does not receive additional bids during the auction period the buyer's initial offer is still binding and wins the auction."

There is an exception. If you believe you have a Premium domain name
then contact Sedo and tell them you want to set up an auction.

From Sedo:
"Brokerage Auctions for Premium Domains

If your domain qualifies you will work in collaboration with a Sedo Broker to determine an optimal auction strategy and reserve price. In addition, your dedicated Sedo Broker will prepare for a successful auction by promoting the listing to potential buyers
."

But it's just for really good domains!

Put in a description and any traffic info or any info you think would interest a Buyer.

You might also consider putting in a price and see what happens. You can always change it.

You could also list it at other venues like Aftenic and Moniker's Marketplace.

Good luck.

Ahhhhhhhh I seeeeeeeee, hmmmmm well that explains things, loveley jubbley, cheers mate!!

So, how do I shove them in to the Sedo Marketplace?

Apologies in advance being so stupid.

Would like to get the yachtingsupplies.co dot uk and the clothingsupplies same prefix moving next.

plumbingsupplies.co.uk recently sold for 6000 quid or $12k (September 07)

Basically when you have added your domains, and assigned it to the appropriate category in your domain management control and have assigned a make offer or minimum or fixed price on it with your desired currency, then it's on the marketplace...but not on auction.

The easy way to apply for a broker auction is to within your domain management control panel to check the domain and go all the way down the page where you see a select menu that holds a selection to apply for an auction.

Select the option i have highlighted for you and hit the big execute button and go from there to apply for a domain to go into brokerage auction.

Good luck!
