I bought a domain name that dropped on godaddy a couple of weeks ago - cost to me $10. It's in the finance sector something like XXbrokers.com where XX are 2 letters. It was first registered 6 years ago. Archive.org shows a one page site which was basically an ad. for the company with a name, address, tel. no.
At the moment I've got it parked and have just received an email from someone saying "we are the previous owners of xxbrokers.com how can we get it back?"
The name of the guy in the email is not at all related to the domain name or the site that it used to be, but they are both in the same corner of the US.
Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated as it may be a scam and I was wondering if anyone had come across this situation before.
There are no trademark infringements involved.

If they want it back they have to pay now.

I have got names b4 from TDNAM that I have previously made low xxx offers on for opening bid + renewal.
