Can org or info valuable for forum names?

hi,
i want to reg a forum domain but the com and net are taken
only org and info are available
so can org or info valuable for forum names?
if to sell undeveloped
plz give your opinion

I think .org can work well for a forum name. For example, I visit www.LiberalForum.org from time to time. I don't think .info works as well.

I agree with this. If you are focussed on a name for a forum and the .org is available then go for it and do not think of it as third best.

I think both .org and .info may work well depending on the name and the content of the forum.

My Filipino forum www.noypi.org is growing steadily. With .com and .net taken at the time the forum was put up, I settled on the .org, and I don't see that it made a difference. People are still familiar with .org and accept it readily.

They are www.domainclub.org and www.webmasterclub.org

.org is usually very good for forums, and most forums are not profit-making (or not directly) so the TLD fits fine.

yeah .org is fine for forums however, info is not a good choice so id stay away from infos in any case

a .info can perhaps work if the word forum is not part of the name.
like babyadvice.info can work as a good forum name
but babyforum.info doesnt cut it. (would look more like a site which lists all the baby forums on the net, instead of having a forum on it's own)
babyforum.com is obviously good

so there you see the difference.

there are no rules as such when it comes to selecting the right names. just a bit of common sense.

.org is a great TLD for forums. You will probably loose some traffic to the .com version but especially with your forum topic is .org a great choice.
