hi guys,
i am new to this forum and also new to domain selling/buying. i just started today and i found a keyword which is searched 9m+ per month. and there's so many domains with it. but most of the domains are already bought and are redirected to only one domain. which ending is .com
so i am thinking if i buy the left ones. there 2,3 more left with the domain word but different TLD.
And i contact the company( who bought all the other domains and redirected to the main one)
And asked them to buy my domain (that i bought who are similar to them)
WILL THEY BUY IT ?
I AM HAPPY EVEN IF I GET FEW PROFIT.

Leftovers are never good. And if you are going with a different TLD, it better be a perfect match or it's right to the compost bin..And if already they are redirecting to the .com, there's no hope now..

Yep they are redirecting the county code domain to.com domain. The one that are left is poor countries code domain. Also the company is a porn company.

if THEY wanted the leftovers, then THEY could have registered them, long before you found domaining.

consider that, each and every time.... before rushing to waste your money

imoโ€ฆ.

I don't think they are going to buy your domain name. You know they left some extension and I am sure the company also know that they have left some extension.

In cases like this, you really need to be careful about trademark infringement as well. Unless the name is extremely generic, you'd be demonstrating bad faith by registering their exact name in other extensions and trying to profit by selling to them.

When I first registered MapleDots.com & .ca I got lots of people contacting me if I was interested in MapleDots.xx and in most cases the folks asking did not even register the domain when asking me if I had an interest in it :xf.laugh: As if I am not able to do a domain search by myself

That said.... had they registered the extensions and contacted me they would have lost the registration fee because I could care less if the domain exists in other extensions.

Had I wanted the .net or .org etc then I would have registered them myself. I think that can pretty much sum it up to address the question of the OP.

Agreed

The only place I find business very willing to talk is if you can add the country code of origin to the .com. So a business in Germany that owns the .com would usually also be interested in the .de if someone else offered it to them. Canada.ca etc etc

The USA goes against this because there is relatively low acceptance of the .us domain extension.

I wouldn't invest in a domain knowing there was possibly only one or a few potential buyers. Normally I want domains that have many potential buyers.

welcome to namepros.
to answer your question, man you're starting down that path where you will receive cease and desist email.
why? because you are embarking on a wrong tree.
search for generic keywords not those who are already owned by a company chances are it's already trade marked.

look at it this way,
for example, you met someone and you saw that he owned a lots of houses and lots along the street, and you saw something that is unoccupied but with their name on it, and suddenly you bought it and sell it to the first owner? would you like me to do it to you?

oh i mean sistah
