Can I get a .aw domain without being in Aruba?

I have my eyes on the perfect domain name - but it is .aw and it requires some proof that by business is in Aruba - and of course my business is not in Aruba.

As a newbie - what are my options? Is it possible for someone in Aruba to register it and then transfer it to me? Any ideas are greatly appreciated

"Domains can only be registered in the name of a person running a one-man business or executing a profession, a partnership or a corporation, an association, a legal entity or an institution which is registered in Aruba."

Unofficially:
Many ccTLD's have this restriction however they don't inforce them. I know many people own .ca domains that are not Canadian or .us domains that are not American.

Unofficially? If you aren't eligible, don't reg it.
You could reg the domain of your dreams and end up loosing it
based on some ill-informed information.

nicelike, why you are saying that .ca's don't check?
yes they do and if you are non-canadian and do not meet the requirements, you will lose the domains.

So "the people" you know, must be fortunate to be getting away
with it! But please don't encourage someone else to do it.
