Can an English hyphen domain be more valuable?

For example, there are some long-tail search queries like
"apply for a home loan", "apply for a credit card". The search volume of the exact phrase is hundreds of thousands per month in Google. For example, I can see 165 000 searches/mo for the exact phrase "apply for a credit card".

So is the domain apply-for-a-home-loan.tld more valuable than applyforahomeloan.tld or vice versa? Which one would you prefer?

apply-for-a-home-loan.tld would I use for my .tld because its more seo friendly.
But with so many words+hyphens the url would be at the end more or less worthless (two-penny)because you will never find a buyer for such a long url .

thanks for your inputs. gave rep to everyone NP allowed.

Actually the question arose when I'd inspected the situation with credit card domains and saw that there are (or in Archive.org) so many developed apply-for-a-...
websites with a good professional look.

Pretty much all english-language sites with two or more dashes are minisites created to game google. I am surprised google still did not ban all sites with multiple dashes. It does not make sense for google not to ban these sites as well as a bunch of other long-tail sites that are gaming google.

I would only set up minisites on domains with 2 or maybe 3 keywords max, without dashes or one dash max, .net or .org would be ok.

This is one of the more common myths on NP.

Hyphens do not help, and if you have too many you will be penalized because it's an SE spammer red flag.

I disagree hyphens are required to be conform with the orthography between noun and in Germany and in other countries its just normal that you use hyphens. One hyphen in the url or max 2 hyphen was never a reason to get penalized by search engines.

I thin hipens wont effect much if SEO is done.
But getting all keywords in your domain is more important IMO.

Moreover, give first preference to non-hipen domain. :)

Not that I'm a big fan of hyphens but I wonder why you equate use of hyphens with gaming google - and why one hyphen is okay but multiple hyphens is not.

Take "Chicago Auto Wrecking" for example. If ChicagoAutoWrecking was gone in dotcom and dotnet and any other viable tld, I would take Chicago-Auto-Wrecking dotcom before Chicago-AutoWrecking or ChicagoAuto-Wrecking dotcom. Also I'm not sure that two hyphens screws up brandability and the phone test anymore than one does.

Never use more than two hyphens be on the safe side. And preferably use only one......

the content on the sites and the relevance of the inbound links will be more important than having dashes or not....
