domain .BZ Drop Madness

I am still shell shocked over this one

Some guy basically monopolized the top 100 keywords in the .bz namespace all the way back in 2001. For some real ODD reason, every single one of them dropped. I was able to get around 43 of those keywords (the other ones are available still , so get scanning!)

I spent around $1,100 on .bz registrations (which i would have never imagined myself to do ) but i do believe it will be a solid ROI.

Anyways here are the names . I know some are better then others. This IMO will be a great "expiriment" to see how much money people are really willing to pay for good keywords.

I bought the Dot BZ names from Sam. Basically I'd advise against buying just anything in Dot BZ. The only reason I bought those names is because they were some of the top keywords for our industry and I have plans to live in Belize for the winters. I have been to Belize and I understand the country fairly well so my investment in the Belize domains was based more on these factors rather than the relative success of the tld world wide. That said I like 1 character domains and own 3 Dot BZ one chars. I like Dot BZ 2 letter, top 3 letter combos, very strong business keywords, and Geos.

I think Televisions.bz and a couple others might have some value if you hold but there are much better TLD investments out there in comparison. You might want to check for traffic though on Seven.bz and the others as one of the major news stations in Belize is Channel 7:

Belize is English speaking but very very small with only 265,000 people and income levels are very low as well. However, it is a major tourist destination, oil has been found, and the country seems to be becoming more popular and economically stable so the TLD may become more popular as faster internet and mobile internet begin to make inroads there.

Thank you for your valuable info and sharing, Kirk! I got the domains 5 months ago and these will probably be my only .bz that I register - they are more expensive relatively to the major TLD domains.

The reason why I got that, of course, is because they are dictionary words and names. Beside that, the following from Network Solutions reinforced my buying intention:

.bz was originally designated as the country code for Belize, but is now commonly used by small business who can't get the name they want using the .biz extension. It is unrestricted and may be registered by anyone, from any country.

So I have no expectation to sell the domains to someone who will use these domains in Belize business.

Nevertheless, please PM me if you want to puchase my domains.
