Buying/Trading Stocks Online

I am very interested in buying stocks online. I have no clue where to go and what places are safe for this.

What are payment options for this type of thing online? check?

Can anybody help me find a good place to buy stocks online?

Ameritrade is a very popular place. I use them.

I have also gerd good things about Scottrade.

I opened a security account with a local bank. The bank provides e-banking service so I can buy stocks online.

I know a guy who uses that site, he says its pretty good for new people. Though you cant buy penny stocks.

I am going to give my support to Sharebuilder and Scottrade.....I am/have used them both and feel that depending on the amount of available income you have and features you are looking for those both offer great opportunities for a broad spectrum of personal investment.

If your into forex aswell check www.fxcm.com also a good business to use.
