I'm sure, by now, many of you have heard of the new advertising method that's making headlines. The original pixel ads site is so widely talked about and successful, that a bunch of other sites have opened up using the same old script, and all looking the same.
A partner and I have just launched a new site using the same successful formula, but with a different look and every line of code created from scratch by me. Also, our site benefits from the success of the original site and another similar site, bearing very similar domain names. We were seeing a good amount of type-in traffic to the domain before the site even went up.
The concept is rather simple. We have a 1,000,000 pixel grid on which people may buy ad space. Space is sold at $1 US per pixel, which we feel will be a great investment, given our ability for amazing traffic growth. When people click your ad, they go to your site, just like most other ad campaigns, but everyone gets a permenant static ad on the front page for the life of the site, unlike other campaigns. Compare that to a 1 month text ad on Friendster.com for $36,000.
On top of all this, until we sell 100 ad spots, one of every four sold will win a 2GB iPod Nano. We're serious about driving traffic to the site and decided to start things with a bang!
