do domains for sale at namedrive have true traffic&revenue because the revenue data come from namedrive stat?
Anyone has experience buying there?

I think the sellers overcharge mostly. Exorbitant prices indeed. Some even got the gall to place $XX,XXX price tag for their $100 a month "revenue" domain.

Nope, won't be buying domains from there. Many look quite shady, with shady extensions..... and traffic from Mozambique.

do you mean the traffic and revenue sometimes 'fake" although it taken from namedrive database directly?

There are so many ways to get traffic it's really difficult to know. I'm not going to post the ways, but believe me when I tell you that there are some VERY creative domainers. You have to know, when there's a dollar involved there's always someone working on an easier way to get it.

PR is also very possible to manipulate and I'm sure google is working on ways to stop it.

I'm sure if we had $10 for every name that was sold with a manipulated PR we'd be sittin pretty nice.

Hi Datalife,

I think we have all experienced domainers' somewhat unrealistic expectations of what their star domains are worth. It is essentially their own decision if they want to price themselves out of the market by setting ridiculous asking prices. It is their loss if the sale is not made.

Nope, won't be buying domains from there. Many look quite shady, with shady extensions..... and traffic from Mozambique.
We take great care to verify the traffic on the domains for two reasons. Firstly because we take great care to verify the traffic of every domain on our system to ensure we are sending the best traffic to our advertising partners.
This level of scrutiny is increased further when allowing a domain onto Park & Sell, so we do all we can to ensure the traffic is real. I appreciate that the domains are not the prettiest looking in the world, but that is essentially the fault. We have always said that Park & Sell is the first market place based on traffic revenue and not on the beauty of a generic domain name as we know there is a market for people looking to buy based on traffic. The popularity of Park&Sell has proven this, so it is certainly worth looking at the system.

I'm not sure how you know the traffic is coming from Mozambique as that's not shown on the site. There are, however, people online there :)

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Heh Ed,

Just kidding there, I wanted to say...Timbuktu. :sold: It seems many of the extensions are unknown like .pl or .es or something. Not sure how many Adwords advertisers are on these languages...

Anyway, the cheapest domains there are out of my budget at the moment....

Thanks datalife :)

FYI .es and .pl are probably two of the most vibrant domain markets in Europe at the moment, so do not represent a bad investment at all. The PPC in both of these countries is still somewhat low, but there are indications that there will be large investment in the future in these markets.

And this is different from other Domain Buying/Selling Venues how ?

Any time you are considering buying Domains based on Traffic/Revenue - You should do your own research ... It doesn't matter what venue it is.

I've sold a few domains on ND myself (One of them I wished I had back 20 minutes later :'( ) You are pretty much dealing with the Buyer/Seller directly (ND isn't involved) and haven't had any problems. Both buyers gave me info on themselves ahead of time though So I somewhat knew who I was dealing with.

Thanks for posting Ed ;)
