Defence and intelligence sources in Washington and London confirmed that a renewed hunt was on for the leader of the September 11 attacks. “If he [Bush] can say he has killed Saddam Hussein and captured Bin Laden, he can claim to have left the world a safer place,” said a US intelligence source.

Well, it would be no surprise to me if Bin Laden is caught in a November surprise.. I don't think it would particularly vindicate Bush tho, or make the world any safer.

Perhaps he's already been captured and they are waiting for November to come out with the bombastic news! In politics anything goes!

I would not be suprised either. Who knows - laden may not even still be alive.

After spending upwards of $340 million per day in the 'war' on terror all these years, they are just now getting around to "a renewed hunt" for Bin Laden?

"November can't come fast enough."

I'm very inclined to believe that he's been dead for a while now, and I'll bet that lots of Islamists know that as well, but they don't want the Infidels to Know, Allah forbid.

How much more phony can our Goofball leader really prove to me? Bush is so dumb he doesn't even understand or recognize the normal intelligence of the average person. Its so obvious this new "program to get bin Laden" is for Bushs' personal agenda to make himself look good in the eyes of history. I'll bet he hasn't given a single thought to how much more money, lives, and destruction it may cost so long as he gets the credit for "getting bin Laden".

Thank God for the two term limit, I don't believe the USA could survive another four years of Bush and Cheney.

Boy this is a knee slapper. Man the tears rolling down my face from laughing so hard. What makes us, the US citizens, so sure this is going to happen if they havent already captured him as previously said.

Seems to me Bin Laden should have been the #1 priority all along.. if we'd spent all the money looking for him that we did in fighting the [cough] "war on terrorism" in Iraq, I think we'd have had him by now and have saved countless lives and property dollars too. I personally think the guy is and has been dead awhile.

So .. poop all over the place .. but just when you thought it was 'done and dusted' you realise you forgot to wash your hands?

And I do agree with your reason for editing my post .. the 's' word is pretty foul ..

Didn't they already give up on finding him several years ago, because he posed no real threat and the threat is diversified?

I think it's just something to try to keep him somewhat positive after he leaves.

Bin laden still has so many followers that will follow in his foot steps. So what if we capture him.

Amen to that. Bush will go down in history as the worst president ever. Hopefully O'Bomb'em will be able to clean some of Bush's crap off our once beloved Constitution.

If McCain wins (oh God in heaven PLEASE forbid it), this country will enter a new era of suffering.

Thats the spirit! Lets just forgive ole' Bin Laden for killing 2,500 of us. He is absolutely no threat. Why should we be worried? Its not like history doesn't repeat itself anyways...

I don't care if Bush is in it for his self. He is looking for the man behind the event that killed a very great number of us. And you guys are hating him for that? Dontcha think punishment should be given to those guilty? Or should we just pack up, go home, and sit on our lazy butts while we wait for another devastation to occur?
