The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
they have 50,000 domains now. Who would care..
The more domains they have listed, the more interesting and valuable their sales data. Imo :)

I just sent this PM to DNBolt, but I want to post it here as well as my actions affected him and anyone reading this mess..

My apology also goes to everyone here that had to read through my rant. I am truly sorry as I try my best to be helpful to this community and not harm it or lash out against anyone. :sorry:

-------------
Non-related to your post today as I did not see what it was (but it reminded me I needed to send this) - I have done some thinking in the past few days...

I have been having a rough few months with family issues. That is no excuse, but I shouldn't have come after you in that thread. I was irritated, took it out on you, and I apologize.

Understand this apology is not due to concern of retaliation, but sincere.

I did appreciate the service you offered providing sales info, and admittedly I didn't approve of a few approaches you had - but it isn't my place to spew that on a public forum. I could have contacted you directly if I really felt strongly about something.

Nonetheless - Best of luck to you in your ventures,
Michael.

You are costing people here sales. They need to know it. I wasn't coming after you with my posts - but you are irritating me now.

So I will flat out say IMO you are being a leach and STEALING from the very people in this forum you are trying to sell data to. You are costing them sales by stealing their leads with your site.

Any website is easy enough to scrape and dataset easy enough to parse with enough time on your hands... Now it is a matter of - who has the time and desire to publish the data? :xf.smile:

How much would the sales data of maybe 90 names cost every month? If it's available for the right price I may be a buyer.

How much you will pay?

How accurate the data will be?

Sometimes people just pull out there names from BB & get it sold anywhere.

All I can say is that I am Brandbucket.

The data could be very accurate if the person curating it does it correctly...

But to be honest it isn't as useful as you may think. Also you would possibly run into moral/legal issues selling a businesses' inside information without permission.

And, no offense @Dnbolt - but I don't personally approve how you have created a website which captures all BB listed names and lists them for eternity and try to steal their/our leads.

We have talked a good bit in the past - and I have no hard feelings - but it still irks me to this day to see my domains listed on your site with an old price and sales venue.

I think you started out with good intentions, and provided a good service back in the day, but went off the tracks at some point. The service you provided was not meant (or should not have been meant) to profit from. If you applied your skills to your own product/service you would most likely be successful. If I were you I'd retire your website since it truly provides no value to any domainer now that you only use it to post inventory.

I think @Dnblot should provide a link on site where it say "Remove Your Name". People can submit request & get removed it from the site but I still think the domain will again get added when re crawling happens.

I don't run the website and it isn't mine! My projects are no longer public!

Issue that lasted for how long?

It it relevant because I want to know how accurate your results are compared to mine?
Without permission it is irrelevant - but if they will allow me to you will be welcome to login and take a look.

This isn't a who's programming #### is bigger. Not trying to compete with ya here bud.

If someone gives you 100 leads a week with about 15% conv rate you will not take it? Yes or No?

When you buy from walamrts do you ask how the employee were treated to produce the goods?
No one is giving you 100 leads a week. You are stealing them from NP members and BB.

So you are saying you sell 720 names a year?

"All I can say is that I am Brandbucket"

You are obviously pitching a service and when faced with constructive criticism you become highly defensive and aggressive about said service which does not endear you to potential clients.

If I was you I would re-think my sales tactics....... :xf.wink:

How is he stealing? I see no explanation of that here. Thank you

I have bowed out of this conversation, and I probably could have worded things better, but to clarify what I meant since you asked:

I was just trying to point out that you profiting from domainers inventory data on a website that tries to usurp the marketplace in SEO and steal leads is wrong.

But seriously - I bow out of this and apologize for getting involved in it in the first place. To each their own.

Any idea why @Dnbolt stopped doing this?

It is possible to have a custom made system that tracks all the sales, and I am sure some people might be doing it already, they will seldom share their results.

The data from 50,000 names in a very specific niche targeting mostly new startups is absolutely priceless.

That is true..

That data would be very useful, hence those who scrape that data wont share it freely.
