Interestingly, the name they rejected turned out to be blessing in disguise ) They sell even better and with less commission for me )

804 would be a considerable loss for them. I was looking for a name to buy there and had to weed through so much trash, including meaningless double-lettering (double-littering?)...
Interestingly, the misspelled names make up around 20% of the sales, so I don't think that they are the one's to blame, from what I can see, the pure invented words are selling very bad and also the total sell through rate is down, roughly the same number of sales like last year but way bigger inventory.

My rate is good (%7,547)
Accepted 106, Sold 8

I am not a domain expert and I just started.
and I know a little English.
Your rate is good, but I think that a correct STR should be calculated year by year as well, because you could have 10 sales from 100 listed, but which have sold in over 10 years, so the general STR will be 10% but counted year by year it will be under 1%.

I don't mind repeat letters when they MAKE SENSE. For example, z-i-i-ne to me doesn't make sense, because double i is not the same as one i in an open syllable, or I don't think it helps doubling K in truck, but I am for names like spaark, knoww, siing, etc.

Also, where does "20% of sales" info come from?

The 20% is an average for this year from Brandbucket sellers newsletter, but the last one wast 3-4 monts ago.... they were months with 19%, 16% and I think that february was the best one with 46% of the sales were misspellings.

If they average around 80 sales per month, it would be hard to believe around 38 of those were misspells...

I don't how many exactly they had in february, but this is the data...a lot of domainers and probably end users don't like them, but there is a segment of end users who really like them and they decide to buy faster than the standard type end user looking for brandables

Hi @talking.domains,
BrandBucket has been aware of this BB knockoff website, hosted in Norway, for some time and is taking appropriate actions.

That's just nuts in the extreme. His site states:
provides similar features to BrandBucket at a reduced price plus additional benefits BrandBucket doesn’t have.
Optically, at the very least, this is really bad.

Almost gotta admire this level of boldness.

Does anybody have any experience with BrandBucket.Shop?

Do we need to create a new BrandBucket.shop thread, or can we discuss our experiences with them here?

I'm tempted to figure out who's behind it, if it's not already known.

EDIT: BrandBucket.Shop currently has 21 domains published. All 21 published domains WHOIS show Ruben Botn-Joergensen as the registrant.

I have sold 6 names on BB this year. I feel a lot of my names don't need brandbucket. I will list them for sale at afternic\godaddy and undeveloped. Now my domains will be marked as "available" on godaddy. I think bb is pricing the names too low and the 30% commission is extremely high for names that can sell by themselves. I am speaking of names ending in ERR, LY, IFY etc.. and strong two words..

It looks like he has a TM for brandbucket: https://trademarks.justia.com/872/50/brandbucket-87250042.html

Or just be bolder. Someone should create BrandBucketShop.shop. Or .club, so someone can go on with the game later.

I thought BrandBucket is better than any other marketplace for keyword+sufix like zy sy ly za zo... type of names.
For two words I agree that some listed domains are underpriced and they don't need BB to get sold.
