With the discussion of sell-through rates, I also wanted to talk about discounts. Our average discount rate across all our names for 2015 is incredibly under 2%! This firm retail pricing puts more money directly into our sellerโ€™s pocket and also strengthens the entire domaining industry by nearly all-together removing the haggling aspect of domain buying and selling.

Could we sell considerably more names each month if we encouraged our sellers to accept low offers? You bet we could! But we donโ€™t because this is a short-sighted decision that will only negatively affect our sellers in the long run.
How does BrandBucket deal with reasonable offers, that take more than 10% off the listing price?

Say if someone makes a $1900 offer on a name listed with a $2500 price, or $1500 for a name listed at $2000, what does BrandBucket respond?

Is the domain owner ever consulted in such scenarios? Or is the offer just automatically rejected if it does not fall within the 5-10% pre-approved discount sellers can opt into?

Yes, @Arca, we reach out to the seller and let he/she know that an offer has come in for everything that is around 70% of the listing price and give them our two cents about what to make of the offer and opinions about how to proceed..

I don't agree with your logic. We have a great sell-through rate for higher priced names including high-quality 4L names. We sell names for over $5K all the time.

You've been on this thread for so long @hookbox, but you've haven't listed anything on BB for years. It seems like it would be difficult for you to judge the BB experience without actually being an active member. We would love to list some of your names, even those over $5K :)
@michaeljkrell Between your 4,689 names and BrandBucket's 2,203 names your names together total 24% of the total inventory of BB. Who knows who owns the thousands and thousands of others that are under privacy. As they say in gambling the house always wins and why in the world would I bet against that. Thanks for the invite but it's an unequivocal No Thanks!

The sales rate is much higher elsewhere and I am publicly announcing I am joining BrandRoot as I see them as the future of the brandable market.

Just an FYI: Lately the newsletters have been coming with many of the logos Xed out (not available).

Sometimes if I click the link on the newsletter, the logo does not appear on the website either, but all other graphics do. If I do a CTRL-Refresh in my browser a few times then the logo normally shows up

Normally it is a small percentage that don't show up, but in this last newsletter the majority of the logos do not appear on my side in the email.

Don't believe this is on my side as I have had no other issues with internet connectivity, so I thought I would mention it as others may be receiving the same.

Same on the website. If I refresh the page it clears itself but it's like the page is loading to slow to cope with all of the images on the first attempt.
I was an active member of BrandBucket, I listed names at BrandBucket, I sold names at BrandBucket, and I removed my names from BrandBucket. Yes, I have experienced BrandBucket for myself.
You left almost 2 and half years ago and have no experience of BrandBucket as it is today, which is a shame. Good luck with your new venture.

Hi MIchael. What email platform are you using?

Same on the website. If I refresh the page it clears itself but it's like the page is loading to slow to cope with all of the images on the first attempt.

Does this occur on all browsers?

Outlook 2016

Problem viewing the logos in outlook, and in browser (option to view in browser if not displayed correctly)

Normally it is just a 1-10 logos that don't show up but this newsletter only has a couple showing.

I can not currently find a link by quickly looking where the logo does not display on the BB page... If I get a chance I will run down the list and try to find one to take a screen shot of.

Here is what it looks like in Outlook.

Here is what it looks like in IE view from the local file from outlook.

E-mail is fine in Gmail FWIW.

Update: The "view on the web" link in the email does work just fine. Just not in outlook or if you click "If there are problems with how this message is displayed, click here to view it in the browser." in the outlook toolbar.

Could the problem possibly be that I am opening at peak time when everyone is all trying to pull down all the logos at the same time? (server lag and timeout?)

Could be just me, but thought I would post if others noticed the same thing then it may be an issue.

That timing shouldn't be an issue. So the screenshots are when you go to the newsletter right now?

When I just opened it right now, it is coming up with all the logos. But that screen shot above was from just a few minutes ago and the logos were missing (and had been since the email came in).

Go figure!

Guess you can disregard this... Must be some glitch on my end if no one else is having the issue.

Really :-o, guess you it was your lucky day. I think I need to keep an eye on this type clearance sale as I have way to determine which has higher brandablity and fast turn overs

Just had a BB sale this morning on a domain that was gonna expire 4-29-16 (few days ago)

I can only assume the buyer knew the expiration date, and once the 4-29-16 turned into 4-29-17..... SOLD!

Cheers!
