I see a couple of ".io" on front page. I did not know BB started to accept them.

Look in the upper left of BB now -- it's StaffPick/com. So, StaffPick is the Staff Pick?

I had a sale a few days ago:

B*E*A*V*R

This name was rejected at BR, NR and BB once. Finally they approved it a few months ago.

Money in the bank, happy. :)

BrandBucket and I have made a mutual decision to go our separate ways, meaning I am not an Ambassador anymore. I still plan on keeping my names on BrandBucket and I think it is a great investment opportunity. My domain investing strategy has changed and as a result we made this decision. I learned quite a bit from the BrandBucket Team and I am very thankful to them. I do plan on finding more names for BrandBucket going forward.

Thanks for sharing Andrew. I'm curious to know what the pros are to be an ambassador in the first place. I had a conversation with the BB team a couple of years ago but I made it pretty clear that exclusively to a single marketplace wasnt for me which I assume ruled me out as a possible candidate for being an ambassador.

Still wondering tho what would be pros of being one?

Like I mentioned to Andrew in our email correspondence, it has been a blast working closely with him over this last year. He is a real pro and couldn't be a nicer guy.

@Doron Vermaat

I think by far the biggest pro for me was what I learned as an Ambassador. I learned quite a bit not just about branding, but also about the business side of running a successful marketplace like BrandBucket. I got to peek under the hood just a little and get an idea of what it takes and what is done. Some of those lessons are priceless.

By far the biggest con was dealing with one or two of the trolls on here. You know who you are. (I can say that now. :)

Would be very interested to hear more on this aspect of your post if you care to share.
I'd be happy to share:

I spent my late teens and early 20s in the stock market. I never made much money, but I did learn some basic investing theories.

I've come to believe that diversification was lacking with my domain investment strategy.

BB is still a great opportunity, but I will try to spread my funds among whatever great opportunities I can find.

Don't get me wrong, I think specialization matters. This is especially true if you are new to domaining because it's easier to figure out one little niche. However, I think as domain portfolios grow and knowledge of different types of domain classes grow, diversification comes more into play.

I have finance background as well and also believe in diversification.

I have English dictionary keyword(s) (one or two) in dot com, brandable dot coms (about 30% for both), LLLL dot coms (about 5%), LLLL premium dot orgs (about 50%), short or keyword cctlds (.ge, .ch, .az, .us, .me, .co, etc. - about 10%), some NN, NNN, NNNNs (not more than 2-3%)

@michaeljkrell BB's website is down, if you are unaware.

SQL server not found error.

SQL server not found error.

I've noticed a few glitches in the early hours of today. Both on the sellers side, and front end side. I would imagine and hope this is related to the new UI and updates they've been talking about implementing.

I was thinking the same thing... But the intermittent errors about SQL connections leads me to believe it is server issues. So I thought I'd mention it just in case they were unaware.

Good point. I think the error I noticed when trying to go to my submitted domains was ajax related. (perhaps this is the same ajax sql error you received) The error I'm receiving now is a CDbException.

Fingers are crossed that BrandBucket will come back online with a new and improved UI and not a video by anonymous against domainers. lol
