You get 70%. You also have to pay $100 for the logo(or more)
That's my point I don't really get 70% - $100 of the logo. I also have to pay 30% of the logo price. I know that's their terms, I just find it annoying.

Those that have their true pulse on sales at BrandBucket is the logo designers. Since they get paid when a domain sells then they not only know the domain that sells but also have an inside track on what is popular and what is not. Using simple logic you would assume if sales are so incredible at BrandBucket that the logo designers would want in on the action and try to make more profit then just getting a measly logo fee. Below is a list of the top logo designers with how many logos they have made and how many domains they actually have listed at BrandBucket. This group makes up more than 62% of all the logos on BrandBucket so they see the majority of sales there. As you can see most of them have no domains or very little. Think about it for a second, if sales were so great don't you think the logo designers would be the first ones to have massive amounts of names listed? Seriously,Think about it! Logic should easily answer your question.

BB is really speeding up on the name approving/declining , as-well as with publishing them.

Witch is good, at some point they got to stop accepting new names thou :/ otherwise it will be 200k names by the end of 2016... speaking of lottery tickets.

Yeah but there are hundreds of thousands of names on sedo, godaddy or 4.cn. I think brandbucket has to continue to increase their inventory and there is zero incentive for them to stop.

Designers have no interest in domains. They want to make logos or whatever other art work. Their job is to sell images.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever read here. They don't care if they are designing logos or drawing horses. It is all about the money man!!

Why would someone who studied for years in designing and is passionnate about it start selling domains?
With that logic everybody on the planet will do the same job .. the one that pays the most.

EDIT : Oh and btw .. no need to insult me.

I'm not going to sit here and explain it to you. I am sure there will be plenty of comments from those who will.

@hookbox I can't agree with you because you design logos you would be good at branding at domaining. I have a friend who is a brilliant artist, gets paid very well. He would have no idea what is a good domain name not a clue, won't even register one for himself. When I tell him he needs to he says, "Why I have Tumblr ?"

Brandable domains, especially the ones that BrandBucket accepts on a regular basis is far from science. Take any keyword and add asa, iva, eta, ela, ly, sy, va, eva, zy etcโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.and countless other suffixes and you have yourself a 100% BrandBucket approved domain. You can't say with a straight face that a logo designer who has designed thousands of BrandBucket approved names can't come up with good names. Do me a favor and contact John Poppert (Konsepts Creative) who is on this list and discuss this exact topic and he will tell you whether he can create good names or not and why he doesn't have hundreds of domains listed. This guy is one of the most talented logo designers not only on BB but anywhere on the planet and has been creating domains since before the Brandstack days and has 1,162 logos on BB but only has 17 domains listed at BrandBucket . Please ask him why he only has 17 domains and then come give us the results.

Most logo designers could care less about registering domain names, I really could care less what John Poppert does you contact him, and I will never agree with your opinion, so that about I can say on the topic.

Just wanted to jump in about the topic; Logo's..

I was thinking same as well, which is 'It probably take those guys couple minutes to make most of those logos and they get at least $100 or even more, if seller choose to allocate higher logo budget!' (I like to set a side $200 personally) Then if you think on grand scheme of things, not all of domains sell that quickly there, if they sell at all. I would say something like 1 out of 30-35 based on very quick calculations on potential current ratio (per annual)

Besides sometimes even something, that seems quite easy to make, can look quite good too! Writing this on back of my latest domain published - Evargo.com; here is a link to logo

If you ask me it's simple, but I am more than happy ;)

Ray I wasn't telling you what to do even though it may have come across that way. If I offended you I apologize because it was not my intention. I just know that if a topic has questions, that you always find out all of the information so we can all come up with a positive conclusion. That is the only reason I said to contact John. I personally believe he has tons of insight into the BrandBucket machine and as one of the most respected blog writers I would assume you would love to hear what he has to say. I'm a bit baffled honestly why you wouldn't want to talk to him.

I don't think i've ever seen a thread where the contentious comments won't make anyone 5c-more than this one.

What I am saying Hook is that he is one person, I know a lot of artsy type people, skilled designers who think that domaining should be illegal, there may be some who like designing and domaining but I think you made it seem like there is some reason they don't all do it. I don't think everyone wants to or feels they have the skills to do it. Our very own @Eric Lyon is very talented when it comes to art and logos but he is not involved in coming up with brandable domains.
