Nice names :) I like the logos! You can also feel how they would look like as mobile apps.
I like the logos too - I wish the last one looked similar
Obviously it's mostly subjective, personal taste with stuff like that. Buyer might love it... maybe... hopefully...

I think nowadays they don't allow logo revisions...Is it possible to upload our own logo once the names are published? I would definitely like to change the logo for subjectivo.com

Not sure, open a ticket here to ask them. I think you can also register as a logo designer to upload your own logos for your domains if you wish.

Support alert!

I've paid for 4 listings and the names are still in my todo list.

I'd like that to be dealt with as soon as possible. I emailed support but no reply.

Must be some kind of bug, but it is quite an important (and annoying) one. Payment should work.

While obviously making logo takes time but they already have fonts and shapes they reuse.
Some of the stuff on their page look like 1 minute work
This one took me a few minutes, most time spent to find fonts to use (just 2 fonts used together - of course you still need add colors etc.)

If they want to go with "eating" theme I would prefer something like this (but simpler)
http://image.shutterstock.com/displ...-icon-of-human-hand-with-a-tray-251811856.jpg
and a name on top of it.. or next to it...

It's not even about the amount of work - it's about the unappealing (boring) font and color (looks dull and dirty)

Sorry that I'm obsessing over this but I really don't like it - at all.
With 20K names you only have 2 secs to make an impression - mine would be: meh.
Edit: actually my first thought was: "natural gas company" (with a flame blue)

We should have at least some say in picking the logo...

(I hope BB team won't push me off the front page for my comments :P)

@michaeljkrell

After you pay for the listing you still need to fill out the information for it and submit it to be listed - did you do all 3 steps (shows all 3 on the todo page).

Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I had a short dry spell, but I just sold V*I*B*E*L*I*G*H*T.

@svede
I think the buying season is picking up right now, so if I were you I would get your names published.

I understand that domain sales season picks up this time of year, but that still doesn't mean it's worth $260 to list my domains on their platform. Despite many requests from me and others they have yet to share anything worthwhile suggesting that sales are good for sellers of all portfolio packages (%-wise) and that the increase in domains has not impacted that sale %. Like I said, I want to list asap for the very reason that fall has always picked up for me with domains, but I don't want to waste $$ on something that isn't going to be worth it - I keep selling my domains outside of BB at a much faster rate - one last week and another being negotiated this week. I even sold one while on vacation a few weeks ago... but not even 1 sale yet with BB..

@svede This is the very 1st 'Seller Newsletter' from BB it was about July so maybe the August newsletter will come out soon! ;)

We are you happy to present you with our first seller's newsletter that will keep you updated on the happenings at BrandBucket.

July Sales
What started as a normal July ended as one of our better months to date. Keywords and pure brandables were almost evenly split with 51% of the sales being keyword domains and 49% being invented names. 54% of the keyword sales were made up of two word combinations, another 27% that sold consisted of a root word with a common ending added such as ly, sy, za, etc. The remaining 19% were alternate spellings of dictionary words and other prefix/ending combinations. It is probably no surprise that shorter is better for the invented domain sales with the average character length being 6.

Top Searches
The biggest mover is definitely "metro", which hasn't been anywhere near this high in the past. We've seen a few urban/city names sell, so it appears this search is leading to some nice sales. The other 14 search terms have stayed pretty consistent over the last few months.

Big Sales
Over the last three months we have made some great sales including the 6-figure sale of Responsive.com, and several 5-figure sales of LLLL.coms and generic keyword names. If you have any premium generics, or any pronounceable 4 letter names, please send them our way!

Commission Junction Deactivated
We have stopped the use of Commission Junction and are currently working on a better affiliate solution. We will update you once a new system has been implemented.

Finally, this is a great time to push through any names that are currently in progress. Our publishing queue has been optimized over the last two months, and your name will go through editorial and logo design very quickly. It's also a good time since we experience stronger sales in the second half of the year, once summer wraps up. It's not too early to start thinking about having a few extra bucks when Christmas rolls around!

Yes, I saw that - but it totally avoids answering the community's biggest questions. It's great for telling us what TYPES of domains are selling and that they had a few big sales... but doesn't even begin to talk about percentages of BB domains being sold, are they distributed among portfolios (obviously a large porfolio will sell more, but a smaller one should have similar %), etc etc... that newsletter does NOTHING to give me faith in selling with them...

EDIT: To be clear, my intention is not to wage war on BB or to antagonize. I genuinely want a reason to sell with them as I like a lot that they do. But I am a businessman and I don't sell blindly. It is in their interest to persuade sellers like me to sell with them.

BB usually rounds up in their favor. They always short me $2-$3 per sale but I've never said anything.
But $275 is worth saying something.

PS- I wish they would would inform sellers IF the domain sells for a discount, because they DONT they just pay you and expect you to figure out if they did or not.
Please keep in mind that this is the same company who's founder said in an interview " Sellers should be happy to get $2000 for their $8 investment" (paraphrase).

...to give me faith in selling with them...

I understand your concern, but what gives you faith to sell on Flippa or other sites that charge for the listing?

So I hadn't submitted any domains for a while since I had 13 in pending and they wouldn't let me submit anymore. But I checked a few days ago and they let me submit some more. SO far with the new ones I am 13 out of 23 (56.5%) - but as usual some of my favorites were actually rejected (no loss, I am selling more outside BB)..

...but the more important number is that I now have 26 pending. I won't pay the $10 to list a domain on a platform that I am not convinced is worth it. I'd like to list them, but $260 is a lot to flush. I'd really like to see numbers showing that domains are selling consistently for all users and that the bloat in listing numbers isn't watering down the sales of all but the largest accounts.

Honestly, though, BrandBucket has an easy chance to make $260 this week just by convincing me. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one. I've been a BB supporter in general, but with all the pleas for convincing numbers, I just don't see why they don't produce something - unless there isn't anything to produce... just my thoughts that I hope Michael and BB can answer...
Svede-please note in the Forbes interview Michael just posted that the founder said "we've sold over 2,500 names in six years" ( if it was over 3000 i'm sure that number would have been used). Do the math.

Honestly, I usually prefer to sell on sites that don't require listing fee - always made more $$ that way. I tried out Flippa and paid for a few listings. Didn't like the results, didn't like what I heard from others about them. I have stopped using them until I see more reason to use them as well. But at the end of the day, this has to do with BB, not any other platform. Each one is different - but most tend to be far more transparent IMHO on sales done. There is too much of a shroud of mystery with BB for me to invest money in their platform to sell domains. I should also note that I did pay the listing fee for some - but don't want to pay more until I see some actual value come from that initial investment or proof from them it is worth it... pretty typical business economics...

As someone else said, that equates to just over 1 per day... but that doesn't help me since there are a lot more domains listed than 6 years ago. I like that factoid, but it isn't sufficient. For example, if they were selling 1 per day with 3k domains and still selling 1 per day with almost 20K domains... that's not looking good for them. But if they were selling 1 per week with 3k domains and now 5+ per day with almost 20k domains, it would be much more promising. This should be EASY stats for them to provide us without impacting any buyers negatively. The fact that after months of people requesting such stats they still don't provide them suggests to me that the actual stats make them look bad and will hurt the faith of sellers in their platform. I am certainly not going to say that's fact, but if its not, I beg them to prove it - they have a chance to bring in a lot of income from sellers. And if the facts are bad, are they really okay with hiding it from sellers and not being honest to those who help them do business?

Again, not ranting against them, just trying to use some logic for why I am still withholding with the hopes of a good dialogue with them....

Thanks!

Svede-I've asked for that stat 10 times here and NEVER got an answer. I have the financial ability, such as others here I'm sure, to give BB well over 2-3000 names if the situation was right but, like you, that "no reply" is very concerning so why even consider giving BB names in volume without that numer.
