Congrats to everyone on the sales, when do we think BrandBucket hits 20,000 names ? That is a milestone, that could be reached in a couple months, maybe quicker if there are still a lot of free credits out there.

Is that question as if 20,000 names is a good thing? re "milestone" just curious.

We only buy new domains when we sell old domains. This eliminates the chance of investing new money.

Really? Seems like you would lose a lot of opportunity with this model. I buy a name I think I can get a return on, regardless of if I have sold anything that day/week etc. Why would you want to eliminate the chance of investing new money? It just seems so limiting is all, but I guess it works for you. If I see a name that is worth buying, its as good as sold!

Just a big round number, I would imagine to Margot it is a great thing, for sellers not so much.

Very very happy about the $10 BB listing fee, and even more happy about no more godaddy coupon codes!!

Why? Because it is about 20 times more expensive than it used to be! That means people now have to pay about $20 PER name listed on BB :)

It use to be just one .99 cent coupon code and 5 minutes of voting. That means 100 domains would only cost around $100. Now 100 domains cost about $2,000 to Reg and list on BB

Couldn't be happier! It was toooooo easy before! hopefully the result will be less names on BB, BUT more high quality names! Time will tell!

(FYI- I buy most my names from drops and aftermarket, so the change has no effect on my strategy)
Hi just curious how many names have been sold with your "strategy" on BrandBucket vs. how many published? Also your acceptance rate for names submitted? Thank you.

IMO BB will not hit 20K names this year. i think, due to GoDaddy coupon restrictions now, the number will peak in a month or so and then slowly go down for a while. Which i personally think would be good. I also think we will see a lot more of auctions here on NP for "BB approved"

It would be nice but Ill take the other side of that trade-I think they hit 20,000 on or before Oct. 1st.

This is very interesting. One by one all the BrandBucket cheerleaders are falling to the wayside as more and more names are added and more comes to light. Hopefully everyone will be posting their sales vs names published here which is obviously the real tell. Who knows we may all be surprised to the upside.

Losing money? That's an odd why to look at it!

Don't you consider it 'investing' rather than loosing money?

We only buy new domains when we sell old domains. This eliminates the chance of investing new money.
So you only lose old money?

For all those that have "Logos pending" for many many days and posted here about it just PM MIchael Krell. I did and my name was published within 5 days with a great logo.

Well, after a looooong wait I can report on 2 sales. First name was on the market for over a year, second name sold on the same day (from first page I believe).

Super happy!

I remember those days! I spent 9k when I first started and they were on really bad names! Luckily I sold some and bought better names. I have taken out my original 9k and now I have $0 invested.

It's a whole different 'game' when you are playing with ONLY profit. Plus it motivates me to sell in order to buy new. I also never spend my entire bankroll, encase I come across a deal.

I dont like to 'mix' or combine different bankrolls. Being a disciplined investor is more rewarding than investing on a whim. (In my experience)

That's great! Congrats! It shows what that first page means also. Good luck with your other names.

Awesome. Did they both sell on the same day?

Here's the issue you have as an "Investor" and im very experienced in the stock market. With your thinking of working "only with profits" better known as "house money" It's simply a matter of time before you give it all back. That said I wish you good luck.

About 7 days apart. I have around 250 names now. Pending logo for 25 names, and 130 approved names waiting for payments etc.
