"Brandable" Portfolio Wordpress theme?

I know it's been asked plenty of times about good themes for domain portfolios, I've checked out the free ones, DNSPortfolio, and the paid ones by ScriptingLab and Domainja, they're not bad... but

I'm looking for a layout similar to what the Brandable marketplaces use where it's an image gallery for your domain portfolio rather than text based?

I've thought about just using a standard e-commerce cart theme but I was wondering if there was something out there specifically made for domains where I don't have to do much editing or converting a basic gallery script myself, I don't have the time.

Any recommendations appreciated - I googled and looked and just kept finding the same stuff I wasn't interested in or didn't meet my needs.

I'm actually not a fan of wordpress, but wouldn't any of the portfolio templates do just that? I presume you could change the size of the graphics and number of columns and build in a link.

Very true. You can basically use any theme. It might need some customizations but it can be done with Wordpress.

koken.me is not a theme. It is a CMS for gallery type sites. It is another "word press" if you want to call it.

I've tried the ecommerce route also www.NameBros.com (not live). It's a real PITA loading all your domains in the database.

Is the namebros.com website working ok? It looks great.

I have a set of niche domains I want to list (several dozen) so I'm looking for something that looks good and I'm not worried about entering the details by hand.

Something Wordpress based would be best for my tech skill level.

@thebutler - NameBros was only ever a test site. It never went live. I never got the OpenCart shopping cart to actually work properly before I gave up on it. It just took too long to find a graphic, cut it to size, and load all data into the OpenCart backend, manually. It probably needs a tailored module to upload a .csv file into the database. Somebody said (in here I think), that the OpenCart cart needs to be replaced by another module. So this is only an example of what can be achieved with an eCommerce solution. I tried 2 or 3 other eCommerce solutions, and they all pretty much suffered the same fate... took way too long to load the data. So in answer to your question, no, NameBros is not custom. It's the bog standard OpenCart shopping cart.

Probably most of these eCommerce solutions are just too heavy handed for a simple solution for selling domains. A simpler solution would be probably to use WordPress. Fortunately, there is a growing number of themes to choose from. I've experimented with a few. But I'd recommend that you probably need to go with a paid theme,rather than a free one.

You can run any site you like through one of the many wordpress theme detector apps such as: http://www.wpthemedetector.com/

It will give you the base theme, plugins, etc. You'll probably still have to do some modifications but if you understand custom post types, taxonomies and the wordpress loop you'll be good to go.
