"Brandable" Portfolio Wordpress theme?

I know it's been asked plenty of times about good themes for domain portfolios, I've checked out the free ones, DNSPortfolio, and the paid ones by ScriptingLab and Domainja, they're not bad... but

I'm looking for a layout similar to what the Brandable marketplaces use where it's an image gallery for your domain portfolio rather than text based?

I've thought about just using a standard e-commerce cart theme but I was wondering if there was something out there specifically made for domains where I don't have to do much editing or converting a basic gallery script myself, I don't have the time.

Any recommendations appreciated - I googled and looked and just kept finding the same stuff I wasn't interested in or didn't meet my needs.

TIA

I'm actually not a fan of wordpress, but wouldn't any of the portfolio templates do just that? I presume you could change the size of the graphics and number of columns and build in a link.

I've tried the ecommerce route also www.NameBros.com (not live). It's a real PITA loading all your domains in the database.

Forgot all about this thread.

NameBros looks good, simple, to the point, neat. Your cart isn't working though, I tried using checkout on one just to test.

I am building my site right now (hoping to go live in a week or so) and I just did it on a portfolio type theme like you would use for photos. It works very nice and even though I had a bit of issues trying to change the wording of some features (developers are from italy and english is not so hot) it still is working.

I used to look JUST for a theme made for domainers but there are some great eCommerce/portfolio themes that will do the job if not better

Yes. I liked that about the user interface. But it just takes so long to input the data, it's a semi-abandoned project. Yes. I know the checkout isn't working. It's a "reasonably" simple fix. Everything I've tried so far seems to suffer from the same problems. Both wordpress and ecommerce. My DNSPortfolio is much easier to load the data. It probably just needs some changes to the front-end and database. It's in the todo list, but I just don't have enough time for another project :(

@tomcarl - Why should we forget about this thread? have you found a solution? Care to share?

Opencart usually works great but it's a pain putting in the data and you'll have to buy a new checkout since the standard one takes forever to use for your costumers.

Will do here and of course in the sig. The only thing that will need to be completed even when I am live is adding weekly articles and domains as they come in to me.

Do you put the data in by hand? Takes a lot of time in most eCommerce systems.

I did. My portfolio is small about 150 domains. I kept it really brief with just the registrar, date of reg and a one sentence "tagline" I could have gone and gave a detailed description but then I would never be done. Also I used a logo software as I can get basic logos done for the names in under 1-2 minutes. Sure they may not look like a top designer BUT they do the name justice and it is better then just a hyperlink.

Now I will say I prob could have gone all out and spent hundreds to make it look A+ top notch but instead I spent $40 for a years use of templates from Telsa themes and here is a sneek peek of the demo version of the them I used...

I don't think there's anything premade, I think you would probably just have to customize an existing theme, I am currently getting a custom wordpress theme coded for my website.

Mind sharing what logo software you are using? I'm looking for a better one then the one I use at the moment. I'm looking to redesign mine and split it up in 2 or 3 sites.

I am working with a simple WP Theme and a domain listing plug in - so far have only one bug (whois extraction) to resolve, Paypal and Escrow integration was a cakewalk:

GreatDomainShop.com

Will replicate this with another theme for nTLDShop.com ( specializing in new gTLDs)

Still looking for BrandBucket/Namerific like themes/templates for the just acquired BrandRaja.com (a recent drop) to go along with NameRaja.com ...time to monetize these!

We are finally live with the site. Still had a few issues with the designers of the template but overall I am done. Got articles scheduled for the week and I put myself on a schedule to make sure its is routinely updated!

@BrandFishing Just tell us how and what exactly it took (theme, logo, custom dev, etc.) to build it (lol) = I definitely would like to replicate it (if you are ok with sharing details please do)

One constructive feedback is to make the homepage more compact if possible (reduce size of the category gifs, and improve gif background) - aim for "Apple" design/fonts

btw - what extensions are these domains in - all dot COMs?

@ Super Software Actually, I am not a designer. Actually I am a Doctor. After toying around with woo commerce myself, I found it difficult and so outsourced to a private concern. They made it. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I will forward your comments to the designer and ask them to make changes if possible.
Thanks

Firstly you should have started your own thread rather than hijack somebody else's. Obviously it's still incomplete. What are you going to use Available Brandable Domains for? It seems to duplicate Brandable Domains For Sale, and should therefore be removed as unnecessary.

Secondly, your cart isn't using the secure https://. You will definitely lose sales because of that. Is it the Woo Commerce Cart or an add-on cart (which one)?

How much did the design cost? Did it include all the domain graphics, text, design and input? Was it delivered with all domains loaded? Or did you have to load them yourself? I thought all the category graphics were sub-standard compared to most of the domain graphics, which seemed respectable. What did you/they use to design the graphics?

Prices were fair. It worked on my smartphone, a plus. Overall, I thought a valiant effort. What difficulties did you encounter using Woo Commerce to sell domains?
